I'm reading his book now. This study was/is momentous. A truly unique study with far-reaching implications for many fields. Very well done. I think we are only just seeing the beginning of how important this work is. Thank you Dr Nelson, Dr Fox and Dr Zeanah, as well as the dedicated people of the BEIP project.

Quick recap: Western dude and his team went into eastern dictatorship, collaborated with their institudions and assigned (non consent giving) infants into (priorly well-to be expexted (09:08)) favorable or disvaforable treatment with the results perfectly matching the predictable, disvafored group children having irrreversible worse outcomes in IQ, Brain activity and attachment. Then Western dude and his team publish their results and receive large prestige and praise for their study. Ethics are noted only marginally (11:47 ; 16:54) and all the responsibility for what happened to those children in the institutionalized care is to be taken soley by the government back then. Reimbursement or any act of solidarity or even redemption for these life-long handicapped children cannot be expected by the western dude and his team, as they only have money for follow-up studies (10:58) or coming from selling books based on the childrens' destiny. - The whole presentation being accompanied with herendous laughter for jokes with very weird timing (04:06) , undermining the seriousness of what is presented, is only the icing on the cake of this very ironic yet deeply unreflected self-dramatization.

Maybe they can do a study on the homeless kids in the 3rd world country and how a artificial economic system creates unequally and dehumanizing situations.
