I really like soldier with laser gun. Low attack speed weapons means you don't lose as much damage when you stutter step and it means you are building to nuke the bosses way faster just with the downside of getting swarmed on normal waves more often. Last time I tried it I ended with 5 laser guns and 1 minigun and it was a pretty easy win.

Speed is probably key for the boss fight. Having like 30 speed or more will let you space those slow moving bosses so you can keep firing while they press you.

Jup. :-) Still waiting on the 13 turret multitasking run. More because I want to see a full map littered with kill turrets then because I think it'll be nessesarily strong. And also cause I want to see if it's doable , as turrets realy do like their upgrades to the higher levels I think.

I think you just can’t really go glass cannon with a character like this… i know there’s trade-offs but i think a regen/lifeteal/armor angle would be better, even if you do a BIT less damage

Item idea: chains +200% damage You are chained to the center and can only traverse about half the map

200% dmg is too op, usually you would get around 90-140% dmg by the end of the run, and that would be great. Now imagine slaping 200% more to that by SINGLE item. Broken.

@@Ray_tch fair I was hoping to balance the fact that a great deal of material would be outside your range, so the number of items you could even buy would be seriously hampered. Also the loss of ability to move away from danger, and increased likelihood of being cornered. do you think a 100% boost would still be too much? (cant test unfortunately)

I feel like the soldier should get a massive accuracy (aka bullet angle randomness) debuff while moving instead of not being able to at all. That would alleviate the issue a lot while keeping the spirit of the character.

I hate the doubled bosses on wave 20 difficulty 5. It feels like playing 19 waves of one game and then 1 wave of another. It'd be better if difficulty 5 just added some tougher minions.

if anything to make soldier better make it like the speedy character is with armor so like -100 or -200 (because u can get more attack speed easier than more armor) attack speed while moving

Soldier may have a fundamental anti-synergy with the game's mechanics, but I also think it's specifically unsuited to your playstyle. What you really need to make it work on the boss, are speed and range; two stats you generally dump. It even does well with slow-firing weapons and dumping attacks speed, since you can 'reload' while moving

there is an exploit with the revolver gun, if you have dynamic attack speed in game the revolver reload finishes instantly when the attack speed change. try that out with this character with the burst moving mechanic..

I find the cute monkey underwhelming in the higher levels and I think it is because of the material combining. It seems that sidf relic would correct this.

Unpopular opinion, I think no shoot whilst moving should be the standard, if you have high as it puts you at a disadvantage and monster density does not really support that play style atm, but move shoot move shoot sound like enough of a differentiating factor from vamp survivor type games

I'd reckon with the removal of Crit Damage % it isn't as possible as it used to be. I'll workshop some ideas, Community Support makes the pivot potentially viable. There is no _good_ reason to do it, but it might be possible as a challenge.

By far the weakest character. Boss fights are such a pain since even if you move other enemies will just kill you. You basically build pure armor and dodge and pray you live.
