While Los Angels is known for it many great eclectic eateries, it is also home to some stunning buffets that even rival those in Vegas! Enjoying a warm day at the beach during a visit in this amazing city, we wanted to explore LA's finest buffet. Last visit, I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton UniversalCity where their restaurant (Cafe Sierra) served an incredible endless lobster and king crab buffet.
Not expecting stumble on another gem on this visit, we were thrilled to have found an equal, if not greater, contender for LA's top spot for unlimited eats! And that contender is the Dekkadance Restaurant in the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Among the astonishing array for meats and seafood that are grilled to order (and done to perfection), the prepared line of buffet items were superbly scrumptious. While slightly smaller in size than its counterparts; the quality, service, and dining experience overlooking the city were over the top so to speak.
At the time of this writing, the weekend dinner buffet was priced at $55 and considering the abundance of quality dishes and showstopping items, it is certainly worth the visit (even from Vancouver Canada).

Thank you for sharing,Tim. Everything looked amazing. I liked the cook to order aspect. The quail,lamb and sea bass was a nice choice. Of course the lobster and shrimp are always my second choice. How did you ever miss the clams and mussels? My favorite,oysters,not present....but everything was still exceptional. I work in Downtown Los Angeles a few blocks from the Intercontinental. I'm glad I found this, I will have to visit and tell my co-workers about this nice, inexpensive spot with good food. At some places, a glass of wine is $55. The lamb, steak and seafood look delicious.

The seafood is very good. I suspect it's the ingredients and also how they prepare it. They did it well :-)
