Lobster and Seafood Buffet in Seattle - @ Haiku Buffet

While visiting Seattle for the Seattle Magazine's Brunch Run, we needed a place to fuel up so-to-speak. Thankfully a viewer commented on a great place around the Seattle area that serves an amazing buffet and at a great value. Lot's of seafood including crab and lobster and great hot and cold dishes as well. Haiku Sushi and Seafood is a little hidden, but well worth the search.

This buffet looks really good. And uniquely one where the sushi looks really good. I usually don't waste my time with sushi at a buffet because it just fills you up but their sushi actually looks good.

I totally miss Hakui in Redmond town center. I went there for many years . The owners retired by my understanding . There still is Mongolian buffet off of 148th in North Bellevue/Southeast Redmond. IMO not as good as haiku, but less expensive. I am a huge fan of their roasted pig feet, and their steamed tripe

So far out of the last 2 videos I've watched - Palisades & Peninsula - THIS PLACE has better offering @ half the cost!!....This place is OFF THE HOOK just wt the sushi rolls & if I'm eating there I'm putting shrimp, lobster & other seafood on top of them to make SPECIAL SUPER ROLLS!!....WOW!! The feast was significantly bigger and I believe they had an additional stations... You can't really go wrong with either but when in doubt, just try both 😉. I hope they're back to what they were as this was prior to the pandemic

It's a bit interesting to find places in Seattle after the pandemic. So many great places like salty's are no longer offering group based events like buffets etc. I heard from a few people that the Feast Buffet is operational but not sure about the quality since...

Excellent video, looks amazing. I see you have taken my suggestion and gone to the big desert plate. LOL When you eat the crawfish you should after removing the tail suck out the head section. This is how they do it in the south. When we were in Virginia Beach at a restaurant named Bubba's they poured out 50 or so on paper and the folks pulled the tails and sucked out the rest. I had the crab cakes. LOL

Feast has the best Asian dessert section I’ve ever experienced-cotton candy, shave ice, pudding. I also like the hot soup section! Lots of different choices! I would recommend going on the weekend as they serve lobster!

Sun-wan! I know I most likely got the transliteration wrong, but he was my favorite sushi chef at Haiku. Although they added hand rolls to the buffet itself from when I started going, if they weren't busy when I was a patron, Sun-wan was always happy to make me customized hand rolls to order. This is my first time seeing this video. Haiku was just down the hill from me and was one of my favorites. Sadly, while they did reopen after lockdown, Haiku apparently was unable to regain their customer base. The food was as good as always, but I think many were wary of buffets, so they closed down recently and referred their customers to their sister restaurant, Mandarin Buffet in nearby Bellevue. I haven't been to Mandarin Buffet since prior to lockdown; at that time I felt their standards were not as high as Haiku's. Since I haven't been since Haiku closed, I don't know if the quality at Mandarin Buffet has risen, if any of the employees migrated over there. Anyway, I actually came to recommend another place here on the Eastside of Seattle. It's the first I have heard of it, but apparently they have been in Bellevue since 2017: Baron's Sino Kitchen and Bar. From what I've read, this is the first location in the States for the Barony Hotels and Restaurant Worldwide conglomerate. I know when I have a chance to go, I'm going to call at least 24 hours ahead to order a real Peking duck for my party. And hopefully we'll indulge in a few of their other magnificent sounding dishes as well. Being that they have been open since 2017, it's possible you've given Baron's Sino Kitchen and Bar a try already. But, if not, they definitely look to be worth checking out. I don't know if you care for rodizio at Brazilian churrascaria, but Bellevue now has two. Fogo de Chao is a chain which is good, but can be found in other cities as well. I believe Novilhos is local, with only two locations. I've only been to the one in the Factoria area of Bellevue, but I enjoy it very much. I do prefer dinner over lunch, as their Market Bar which is included with the rodizio, but which can also be purchased on its own, is far more extensive in offerings at dinner.

So sad you arrived too late for the carving station. Kielbasa,not a fan! I generally would not eat carbs,but their sushi choices looked amazing.The snow crab,tiny shrimp and crawfish not a buffet item for me,too small and not worth the effort to peel and eat. My choices would be sushi,sashimi (minus the rice),mussels,oysters and baked scallops.The hot station of shrimp,scalllops,escargot and roast duck.And I would indulge in the shumai and dim sum instead of dessert. Hi Ernest, I believe if we had arrived earlier, there would be some tail section. I don't think they have the traditional steamed lobster, but it was still very tasty 😋

They do have better choices of desserts comparing to other places, but I didn't see lobster last time I was there. The sushi are only so so.

Looks good. Low light is good. A month after I bought my Smooth 4 gimbal dji released the pocket 🤦‍♂️

@@604Jimmy I'm certainly no expert with filming or cameras but I must say I do like using a gimbal. LoL, DJI now released an action camera 🙂
