Judging ny the specs of this dashcam, i am bewildered why it even still exists (damn thing’s obsolete)! Finevu is a large company that seems to be lacking in the tech department! They are at least a year behind the segment leaders and simply can’t compete with the current offerings from the competition. Finevu needs create a cam that has the following attributes to compete in this space: 1) 4k 2) IMX 678 STARVIS 2 sensor 4) HDR 5) 512gb SD card support 6) Super night vision 2.0 7) enhanced parking monitoring 8) 5GHz Wi-Fi

There is a 4 k system available. And Starvis 2?? The night footage on the Fine Vu is absolutely fantastic. I really don't know why you would need any better than what is currently on this as in my testing you can see everything you would want to including license plates etc. And judging by how you always comment on dashcameras I wonder where your loyalty lies?

@@motorguard - While i appreciate your thorough review, i originally thought that Finevu had presented you with a newer iteration of one of their models with upgraded sensors! As a tech head, i was curious! Also, while the image quality may look fine when viewing alone, side-by-side comparisons show just how far the competition has surpassed it. BTW, Finevu’s 4k offering uses the original STARVIS chip (not the STARVIS 2) that was launched in 2014. My loyalty lies with the consumer. I recommend that you check the specs and image quality of the competition sporting the latest tech: (Thinkware U3000, Viofo A229 Pro & 139 Pro, Blackvue DR970x Plus, Vantrue Nexus 4 Pro, 70 Mai A810, Vueroid D21, etc…)

We are a Thinkware dealer and sell alot of Thinkware. Comparing the U3000 which is almost twice the price with this is simply absurd.
