The pad setup is so valuable, thanks for breaking it down slow

bro those are some dope lessons you're giving here! I've been following all your videos so far and have been really trying to get the technique behind everything you teach. And as simple as it sounds but your advice about bouncing the shoulders to the beat is probably one of the best things I started to implement to become better. Being mindful about that throws me right back into the vibe even if I maybe don't have a good start of the day....truth is: you can't bounce your shoulders, feel the groove and have a grumpy face at the same time. that's impossible! haha

Man I don't know what are you up to these days, but this tutorial series is legendary! Slowly climbing the skill ladder. Wish the specific drum kit you use was still available, the link to WeTransfer is expired.. Either way this is incredible, hope you are good :)

🙏 so I’ve been tuning in and practicing using my own one shots, but would be so much better using yours that I keep hearing about, if it was available for download still… please make it available again, i would greatly appreciate it.

Some things that help me: * breaking it down * If something is too difficult to play, simplify it until it gets playable. I like to find a point when I can still groove but it's a challenge. You can simplify in a million ways: slow down the tempo, play the hands separately, tap the rhythm with your hands so you don't have to worry about fingers... etc etc One of the cooler ways I find is changing the pattern itself: leaving out a difficult 16th note for example. Being creative with it. Keep it groovy at all costs, so you keep coming back. Then, when you got a simplified version of it down, start incorporating more and more elements of the thing you started with. * Self care * I've heard that the body incorporates this sort of muscle memory knowledge while we rest and sleep. So I do that. Also, breaks. Coming back to it fresh can be 🌅
