The first time I was introduced to Muriel was to where I worked there was a cub setting..she was remarkable. She played the Harp guitar as I was surprised to see and hear.Ive Ben a fan of that instrument since seeing Michael Hedges. I have now kept on eye on her career and I hope to see her in concert again.

When guitarist's orchestration and phrasing are perfect, it is just unmistakeable. This is the trademark of Muriel Anderson, and this clip's a great example of such perfection.

Absolutely the best. I didn't know classical guitar styling could make a modern tune like this come to life! But this performance has nuance that the hit recording does not. Bravo!

This is absolutely beautiful. She has a subtle touch - excellent and sensitive and a pleasure to watch and listen to.
@lonetrout11 жыл бұрын
I've watched this dozens of times and I just can't get over the cleanliness of every note played. Her finger positioning is impeccable, the tonal quality spot on. This has inspired me to look for a classical guitar teacher (I have been playing bluegrass, folk, and rock for the better part of 30 years) so I can attempt to play this and understand the mechanics of proper hand positioning and possibly read MUSIC for the first time.

With the grace of a swan the notes flow and fill my soul with tones of remembrance; of lost days, when love strolled in my heart near native woods with my beau in tow. Sensual and sweet your playing is the blanket for love; thanks for the music of cool water from which I drank today. Bless the gentle fingers of Muriel Anderson; Father.

Fantastic arrangement, wonderfully played. That modulation you added to the third repeat is gorgeous. And it extends a tradition: Burt Bacharach didn't write the coda we all hard on the Carpenters version of the recording.
