Gist - suspected mechanism is related to the sphingosine-1-phophate (S1P) inhibition. Fingolimod enters CNS, binds to S1P, and prevents lymphocytes from traveling out of secondary lymphoid organs. Trapping them in the periphery and preventing entrance into the CNS

Seekirk: I've been on the FTY trial now for 7 months and I must say that I believe that my MS has not progressed. While using the drug it has been recommended that I have my shin checked at least twice a year. I can live with that!!. csny1969: Yes the first tablet attaches itself to receptors in the heart which could cause instability, it did nothing to me. I’m on it and I’m happy with it

yes this video is great, but lets talk more about side effects including the 6 hours needed for the first pill so that you can be monitored for possible heart attack, due to lower blood pressure for starting this med. lets talk about the good and the bad. and yes i am thinking about starting this med
