I had a feeling the loft would be amazing and you did not disappoint!!! What a beautiful space!!! The bathroom is a lot bigger than I imagined. The flooring is beautiful... I'm a huge fan of the luxury vinyl flooring... I've done my entire house including a bathroom with it. The color is gorgeous. The warm tones do come across in the video. Different lighting will bring out different tones as well. I find that natural sunlight brings out the greys during the day and at night the warmer lights and lamps bring out the warmer tones. Okay soooo those windows!!! Absolutely amazing!!! The view! I would be sitting out there all the time! The storage cabinets were a brilliant idea. I can't wait to see how you decorate it and all the furniture. Such an awesome place to work and film, and also relax and enjoy it. I really am amazed at how big the space is. It would make an amazing master bedroom, too, with the en suite bathroom and those beautiful windows. I feel your pain about not being able to get in there and completely finish it with the construction going on in the rest of the house. I'm in the middle of a whole home renovation and we redid our lower floor with an office and another lounge type room and a game room and it was all beautiful and finished... and then the main floor of the house went under construction and now the downstairs (and the bedrooms upstairs) are completely upside down and full of clutter and totes and boxes and laundry baskets from the upstairs. But keep going! The stress and chaos is so worth it! Also really looking forward to seeing the bedroom and bathroom when that's finished! Just imagine Christmas time when you're looking around your home and all the newly refreshed areas! Although I'm sure it will be done before then, but I'm thinking about how easy it will be for you to get all your Christmas decorations down and how all of your videos will be filmed in all the beautiful new spaces in your house... very happy and excited for you! Amazing job Mr. C!!! Congrats!!!

Fantastic renovation! The windows are a game changer. I have a suggestion regarding your desk & position… if there is room, build/purchase a folding desk for that wall so when it’s opened it will face the windows. Build shelves into the sloped area (where you insisted on putting the outlet) to store all desk items when it’s closed. That way you will maximize your space for filming etc. 🙂

The loft conversion looks brilliant. Maybe, in the bathroom, for the spot where the chair is you should look in the Charity shops for a small shelf unit/cupboard that you could do a DIY upcycle & style. The rood windows/balconies are a great addition.

Last time I checked in was when you were first emptying the storage in cluttered dark spaceless mess. With covid coverage I lost track of the progress here. Having done several large and medium homes I was always drawn to the top areas with their unique roofline variations and sense of wide overlooks. Thank you for doing this room as it has been totally engrossing and such a positive outcome of space usage. And that bathroom and window /skylight/ walkout is so well done. Kudos ,Kiddo.. The flooring in the loft is lovely!…I could have cried when you said you were going to paint the bannister rail/spindles! 😂..Personally I would stain as such lovely wood! ..just think everything will be finished by Christmas can’t wait for the full reveal when everything finished! Xx

Your space looks fabulous and I am so pleased you were able to get the cabriole windows. I had my loft done in 2019/20. I really wanted these windows but I had too shallow an angle for them to work. I can still stand at my top hung, open velux windows and it gives me that balcony feeling with views. I am looking forward to seeing your future videos of decorating and styling. Plants with lights amongst them would look great, especially in your small alcoves where you have sockets. Battery lights would work too. Brilliant video. Thanks for the tour! 🙂

Congrats Mr Carrington on the completion of your amazing loft. My favourite is the views from the windows that open up to a mini balcony. You are going to have many hours of enjoyment and worth it. The shower door and vanity basin is also so useful for storage as well as the extra storage space for all your xmas decor is great

It looks lovely. They did a great job. You could have another cupboard the same size as your sink to the height of your sink. More storage and somewhere to put your bag. You could have a blind for privacy. Love the stairs. It seems a shame to paint. Looks good. I bet you are pleased

Love this conversion. The stairs and flooring look great one thing to think about, instead of a shelf by the door try a tapestry or vintage kilm to help deaden the echo.

Great Space, it's going to be fun turning it into a living space, this is the blank slate stage. when all the ideas swirl and flow and then the budget pops up and...well, you know. I love absolutely everything in that loft!! You did such an amazing job of utilizing every square inch and thinking of what it can be used for over time with the electrical and storage as well. Those windows are the icing on the cake! Amazing! I encourage you to keep the mirror because I know from experience how much they make a space feel bigger and help the light from the windows bounce around the room, especially in the winter. Everythng is beautiful! He floors are just perfect! Darker would have made the area seem much smaller and lighter would have been a washout! Those windows are the coolest I have ever seen! I've never seen the pop up AND OUT before. And, THAT VIEW! You seem so close to the city, yet the view looks like you are on the edge of Pleasantville (very one calls my home that bc of the movie - LOL). You made so many wise decisions in such a small space. LLLLOOOOVVVVVVE the natural wood! I hope you are able to keep it that way. I've completed a few projects with a stain called "pickled oak". It's basically a very very sheer protectant with a subtle white wash. I've been using it on furniture as well. I've had pickled pieces in my home always, and I am updating them with a new coat and refinishing some others. The woods are not all the same, so the look comes out little different with each. But, everything is more cohesive. Think Scandinavian vibes! God bless you in your new addition. You work so very hard, so you certainly deserve all of it! I look forward to seeing the styling of the space! Congratulations!

You should be able to get a square framed wooden thing with shelfs for beside your sink with a basket at the bottom, joint 2 in 1. Then you got your basket with shelfs above for wash bags, flannels etc.

Regarding your back to the door... The negative is that you can be easily startled. Put a small mirror on the wall so you can see movement behind you. It's a good option for many situations, like office cubes. Lovely space. Congratulations. ALSO - small space needs all one color, either light or dark. No accent walls. Consider it.
