When you finally put the bumper on, no headlights or anything else, just seeing the first painted fit-up, wow. That made a massive impact on the overall look. And the new headlight design just furthered that impact more. I can only imagine how much more excited you are to see it even further completed because now I need more too lol

Wow bro, this SC has come such a long way from its beginnings, you have put so many hours of hard work sweat and tears into it and it truly shows. Like people dont understand the amount of hours 3D modeling and printing takes, and on top of that all of the manual work that needs to be done, trial and errors. I need to do the same and focus my efforts into 1 project, but rn I have 4 project cars at the same time and im just overwhelmed

The initial 3d print with mismatched colors made me think of the Volkswagon crowd that run different color body panels. I love what you did with the bumper by taking a modern design cue and making it fit an older car. I am curious about the weight of the bumper with everything added. One day if you ever get the time to do a video about it you should showcase your 3d printer setup now that you have 3 of them. I run a heavily modified Ender 5 plus right now, but plan to purchase a Bambu Labs printer to speed up smaller prototypes.
@dy1angi11ey62 ай бұрын
It’s not necessarily the owners doing that as Volkswagen actually produced a few thousand or so cars like that. Though some people may imitate the style, it’s based on a design they actually used. Look up VW Harlequin if you want more info on it.

Just came across this channel and watched quite a few videos, very cool! I'm curious how you are getting the 3D prints to hold up. I've made several 3D printed parts for my car and I have to be really careful to keep it in the shade, anytime the car sits in the sun too long the parts shrink or warp. I've tried many different types of filaments and I'm currently trying to convince myself to test ThermaX from 3dxtech. Similar to some of your other videos though, I have had success 3D printing a mold and then making a fiberglass part out of it. But my original intent was to skip that process and 3D print the part directly.

It looks horrible. I think you've done an amazing job and your skills are awesome, but I just really don't like the look. Glad you like it and a lot of other people do as well, but I'd have gone with a much different design.

I can only speculate but I think Marty's approach at incorporating the Lexus SUV design cues would be what I expect Lexus to do if they were to introduce a futurist coupe today, they would use their design cues from their SUV line up to cement the identity of the brand in their newest product. I'm 90% certain Marty could've gone the easy approach to just taking an LC500 front end or Corolla GR and doing that as a carbon copy but I think with his approach it shows you what is possible with the power of prototyping, being able to take current design cues of various models and creating something unique within the brands identity.
