hey Brent, use those spring loaded latches from a large truck, you know, they pull up and hook on a flat piece you weld to the front side corners of the hood ... truck hood latches! they also use what I said for jeep hoods

I love this build so much, starting with the stance: perfection. This series is a lot of things, it's Max Max meets American Grafitti, it's what they should have run in Rat Patrol, it's a wry mix of hillbilly and high tech. For eye-balled, the whole thing is tight and well built, with proper protection in a clean shop. Great presentation. Just what this country needs. It would only be better with Donald Sutherland as Oddball on the maiden voyage.

Brent, this is one of the funniest videos on YT I've watched in a while ... "lets see if we can break something?" My first thought on the low ride was getting high centered on a 3/4" garden hose or a very small wing row (or wind row. if you prefer). Probably won't be a good winter "beater", but it looks like a ton of summer fun!

Nice to see it done! Got some satisfaction builting it,i could see how much you enjoyed it. Took my dog for a ride in the Stude today, i went against my better judgement and washed it. No more moss on the hood. I really like the way it looks when its wet. I have a plan. I have one of those cheapie bolt to transmission shifters,i will send it your way. For next time. Dirt drags? Yea! That's Hot Rodding man! That car deserves some paint on the panels and a leather strap across the hood. It's been decades since I saw some guy having some actual fun in the car like the paddock gave us. We used to have old English Fords and Austins , little cars with little motors and they were enjoyable like that when expired from road use. Thing is they still went well enough. used oil and fuel in equal parts often. I have to suggest, adding a small bed like an old stepside? It's such a hoot man! Love the creation Brent. It's very cool.
