Nice one! I made drawers for the back of my Pajero a few months ago but I’m about to start on a camp trailer with a tradie back on top and I’ve been looking for ideas, that table is awesome! The spring loaded catch ar the back of the drawer and the clip to stop the table sliding are great ideas. Top job.

What you think you want most likely will change a little. I just made it up as I went along and took my time thinking about the set out.

what thickness ply have you used about to make a floor in my canopy but unsure what thickness ply to use and be strong enough for 60ltr fridge on slide and draws without risking pulling screws fridge will likely be the heaviest thing in there
@danloughridge37202 жыл бұрын
I used 16mm plenty thick enough

Hey mate love the setup and with the slide out bench I think u should put a support leg that folds up underneath and if fully adjustable cheers
@danloughridge37204 жыл бұрын
I was contemplating putting one in. Though I'm only going to be doing meal preps on it and the slides are load rated to hold a fair bit of weight. I'll use it for a while and then see if it needs one.

I was wondering if I could ask a question about heat inside the canopy. Do you have any issues? Do you need any ventilation? Do you notice the fridge struggling on hot days?
@danloughridge37202 жыл бұрын
It defiantly get warm but not hot enough for me to worry about. The fridge has no issue at all
@byrond58233 жыл бұрын
pretty mint set up man. i got my inspiration from the dun and watson design. good effort for going out doing it your self too. ill be cracking on with mine this weekend. suprised you doidnt insulate your canopy tho..? did you put a vent in the back of your fridge compartment? you're gunna need that condenser to breath. one at the top and bottom ( hot air rises).
@danloughridge37203 жыл бұрын
Cheers Byron, I was contemplating insulating but backed out as I had to run my 12volt and I didn't know where things were going and didn't want to deal with it. I don't have a vent at all. There's enough space around the fridge and I'm in and out of it everyday so I didn't see a need for one. Also didn't want dust getting in there. My condenser for my fridge sits right at the front near the canopy door too. Thanks for the support legend🤙

Could you also show how you have mounted to the tray? That’s one thing I’m trying to figure out before I get mine. As it’s a lift off canopy and won’t be on 100% of the time.
@danloughridge37204 жыл бұрын
Mine isn't a lift off so I have bolts through the floor and tray. For jack off canopies you can get latches or brackets that go in the lift off points to hold it down.
@TheDillon19874 жыл бұрын
@@danloughridge3720 I was thinking that but like the clean look so might have to go through the tray like you have done.
@danloughridge37204 жыл бұрын
You can also weld some rhs to a plate that fits in the holes and then bolt the plate to the side of the tray

@@danloughridge3720 cheers. I love how you found a cheaper option for the Teflon too. We are looking at doing the 12v the same time as the fit out so we can hide all the wiring behind the timber panels. Think it will save time down the track.

I did have the same intentions however didn't have a money to do so. Though I'm not far off now. Defantly have a look at lithium for the set up lots of pros with it. Other then the cost
@waynasfamilyadventures1473 жыл бұрын
@@danloughridge3720 yeah lithium is the go, I'm lucky enough to work for a big name 4x4 accessories company so things are a little more affordable. Look into the topo lithium system it's almost a plug and play system. And very affordable. Check them out at www.topodcpower.com.au
