Beo Sword is NOT a holy weapon, it doesn't require a certain bloodline to wield. If anything it just legitimizes Beowulf's ascertain that he knew Eldigan. Likely a momento but not a confirmation of parentage.

Ngl FE4 Finn isn't as ruined by the weapon triangle because of axe/lance weight. It's more like an eight point swing for him than twenty comparatively, which does hurt, but you can legit just run miracle if you do math, or just let him tank because he's kinda thick! Plus, likely best user of the Horseslayer. Mechanical remarks aside, Finn is the goat of dads. Dude gives it up for kids that aren't even his always because he made a promise and it's the right thing to do.

In a tier list setting I would say finn is top 3 just after sigurd and seliph because he by far has the most availability and is solid in both gens and especially in gen 1 due to his one rounding capabilities and he only gets better in fe 5.

One thing I like about finn Yes he feels like he's the love child of cain and abel From FE 1 & 3 especially Cain being the sole survivor and having his Survivor's Guilt from it (Shadow Dragon DS makes it clear it was him fleeing the battle that resulted in Gra/Jiol betraying Marth's father that allowed him to make it to Altia to warn Marth and Elice, allowing the Prince an early lead to Talys before Jiol caught up to him. In a funnier way let's also add in mixing Jaigen seeing that he fills the latter's role for Leif (Side story, Thracia is still a number and Engage made it official tha Leif is a FE lord, so that makes Finn the one who made the Oifey sub archetype canon (an archetype and sub aren't canon till there's another who fits it, sort of like Claude has made the dark skin charmer mounted archer an archetype with Fogado being an expy of him, cept switch Dragon mounted with Horse mounted!) So we also have him to thank for all the Oifey we got (Seth and Titania ESPECIALLY Hopefully Vander is the last of the Jagens! I mean that gameplay wise! I was starting to enjoy not seeing them (Conquest Gunter and Gilbert are more the Mycen's/Evelyn-FE5 Briggid being a Jagen who joins Mid to LATE in the game!) Seriously I like Vander but man was Engage not kind to him! Feels like he was build for Normal with how sooner he falls off for a Jagen because EXP is stingy with him ESPECIALLY on Maddening. Hopefully FE4 remake (If its real) means an FE5 remake or DLC is with it cause Papa got to use his FINN (Always been a fan of the Cain's in each Emblem, not much for the "Cain with Tits" in Awakening, but it's ironic I'm for the FANGIRL Cain in Engage that is Framme😅, and Really Cordelia who I do like feels more the Cain, being the sole survivor of her unit and wrecked with survivor's Guilt!) but then I do love Leif and his family (and future family with Nanna if you know what I mean LOL) as well so it stands to reason
