Our flight to HEL today begins outside Copenhagen's Terminal 3. We enter the terminal and make our way to security, eventually walking through to gate 12A where our aircraft is waiting to take us to HEL!
We are joined by a couple of other avgeeks who have travelled to Copenhagen to take today's flight, the last ever flight 666 to HEL on Friday 13th! We are soon called for boarding, and take our seat in 6A.
We depart Copenhagen's runway 22R on a beautiful clear sunny autumn day, getting a great view of the Øresund Bridge as we climb out. We fly over Sweden climbing to FL370, and then cross the Baltic Sea before beginning our descent into Helsinki's Vantaa airport. We get some great views of the beatiful Finnish countryside, before touching down smoothly on time in HEL! We taxi into the gate, and disembark into the terminal making our way to passport control ahead of our next flight.

Next weekend is a VERY huge weekend. First of all, it's Halloween! 🎃 Second of all, I'll be tracking 18 flights - airBerlin's retirement flight, KLM from Aberdeen, Darlington, and Humberside to Amsterdam (Fokker 70's retirement flight), United's retirement Boeing 747 flight, sad to see them go... And since I can't catch the very first Delta Airbus A350 flight, I'll track the second one. And THIRD of all, I'll be tracking your flights. After 11 years in service the flight AY666 has now been changed to AY954, while they are re-organizing their flight numbers. But its possible AY666 to HEL pops up somewhere else in the future they said and there's always SIN-HEL ;) Inflight video, thanks!

Welcome aboard Finnair #AY666 on Friday, October 13th to Helsinki [HEL]. We will be taking off at 13:20. Our arrival gate will be 31. Very spooky... How was the experience for you? Was it scary? I bet it was. The first time I saw this flight on your list, I did not even notice that it was flight #666, until you posted those Facebook pictures. I was able to track you taking off from Copenhagen but not the landing.... I heard that this is the last time this flight is operating on Friday the 13th. The flight number now will be #954. This flight was ALL over the aviation news and Facebook. That's how popular the flight is.... 👻 📰

+MrGriser Unfortunately I cant afford to fly more often to release more regularly :( I’m taking 4-5 flights a month to be able to release as often as I am, which as you’ll imagine costs a lot of money and time away from my family. I’m doing this on my own (I think they have a team), and unfortunately am having to look into putting some of the content behind a paywall to allow me to keep making the videos, as it’s becoming less sustainable :(. So sorry, the answer is I can’t really go more often than I am at the moment any time soon, but I hope you’ll still be able to enjoy the videos!
