I'm French producer and I totally agree about all theses things ! Structure is a theme that hasn't sufficiently addressed in a specific way. So thanks a lot for the contribution!! I hope you'll do others Tips like that for example : How can you create variation from the basic pattern ? How to Not feel the "loop" on the beat ? Differents way to placed the transition like Cutting, fills or FX etc. . Thank you again !

Dude, I love your channel so much. You have a savant vibe (it's commendable, but not usual, to really go out and take the time to reproduce hundreds of beats) and a sharp humour. Watching you makes me feel like you're really smart, and I'm really smart too, and we're paciently dissecting some modern hip hop. I'm starting my path as a producer (I've been doing it seriously for two months now) and you're teaching me a lot. I didn't have this mindset of embracing repetition, like, I would've rather keep my best melody for the chorus, instead of letting it run the beat. Anyways, much love from Brazil, keep doing it, I'll support your channel the best I can :)

Sup bro! First of all, you're work is so valuable! Thank u so much for this. I've never seen such detailed beatmaking vídeos like this before. Now, I have a question: when you say to consistently using a prechorus before every chorus, you mean a prechorus is a must in every single beat, or what you trying to say is "either use a prechorus before all chorus in a beat, or don't use it at all"? And why?

Coming back to this a years later, one of my favorite song structuring vids period. Something I’m curious about is Lil Peep. When I started making beats I referenced his material heavily and noticed he always followed his own formula of sorts (lyrically) and sometimes would extend section of songs. Always followed 6s I noticed. What do you think regarding that sort of stuff? As well as $uicideboy$ (I Want to Die in New Orleans), sorta the “popp” stuff. It seems so simple yet is so easy to mangle. Just curious if you have any input. Anyhow, I hope all is well!

Yeah, this is specific to hip-hop and even some modern Pop. But it's a great formula to follow in any genre just because it's concise and clean
