Rumor has it that Floor has had classical voice training. I don't know for sure, but her vocal control might suggest it. “Ave Maria”, is the Roman Catholic “Hail Mary” prayer. It's a beautiful prayer, well deserving of this musical treatment. We love our Mother.

I really wonder why, here and some other duets, one would alternate so little?! It's almost like the each sing half a song, a waste compared to the extra contrast you get of switching say every two lines. I love that! You can get more performance from the interaction and the vocalists feeding of each other. It's still nice, but I'm probably spoiled with the Phantom and some other duets ☺️.

I like how you gently compared the stamdard vocal harmony blending with their “friendly non-blending” presentation. I would be more with your dad in preferring a classical / musical theatre vocal style for this piece. Wasn’t a fan of Marko’s breathy take and breath breaks, exvept for a couple of slightly syncopated staccato phrases which I felt were more creative / intentional. Like you said, Floor sang the first verse more classically and the second more freestyle.

@@annavaskelainen Yes, it is OK. Different strokes for different folks. I know Marko has a powerful belting / scream voice as I’ve heard in other songs. Singing softtly with clarity (good cord closure) is another level of vocal skill and requires training, which Floor has had.

She is the singer and it is normal that her sternothyroid muscle is stronger. Check out her video from a year ago. There are no changes in the location of the thyroid gland. And most importantly, there are no any traces of exophthalmos that would surely develop over a period of one year.
