I am so grateful to learn about the yarn fairy!. I didn't think the mess in my craft room could be from me.. I do wish they wouldn't put the ironing in my craft room though.. thank you for your videos and I am also in search of the Christmas feeling this year. It feels like it snuck up on me this year. We certainly have enough snow to look Christmas like here in Canada..

Hello Jana ! It's the first time I have watched a Vlogmas and I am enjoying yours very much. ( Also your regular ones,of course ) Bye the way, here in the UK we say cushions on the sofa or even the floor but pillows are always on the bed. Sometimes we have decorative cushions on the bed, but never pillows in the living room. Except when children or sick people need a bit more comfort.

I so agree it is the yarn fairies for sure. The Red Heart supper saver is Worsted weight. #4 here in Canada. I have also caught the crochet bug. I am planning to make a granny square and knitting combo cardigan. Main panels crochet and once together I will create collar, ribbing at bottom and cuffs. It should be fun figuring it out

The tea might have been so-so, but that cup is wonderful! Also enjoying seeing so much of the Moomins in the intros. My partner bought me the Moomin sock knitting book for my birthday, and I keep lovingly looking over the patterns inside.

Barnes and Noble (US big box store/bookstore) now has Moomins merchandise. Coffee mugs are expensive, US$ 35. Might get one as a Christmas gift, but if I chip or break it, I'd have to cry for at least 3-1/2 months (LOL!).

The yarn fairy has been causing havoc in my craft room too 😂. I love the colours for your pillow, although I knit with lots of bold colours, my favourite colour of all is silvery grey. I’m making the Adventurer Cowl by Ambah O’Brien throughout advent using a 6 pack of minis and fading them back and forth. Your blanket idea sounds fun! Although I don’t really use acrylic much, it can be good for blankets especially in a home with dogs 😅

Lack of sleep really does me in now I’m getting older. Hope your sweet littlest soon sleeps the night through, I really remember my youngest being the same! She would get so excited! It would keep building until Christmas Day. Then she could sleep. It is fun now to see her with her children enjoying the Advent season. They get excited, but they both sleep hard.

Jana, I hope that you feel better soon! I had to laugh about dubbed movies because my new favorite Christmas movie is the Finnish "A Christmas Tale." The English version is dubbed and the voices used are not actors, so they sound dull. And, of course, the lips don't match with the sound. Call me crazy, but that is one of the reasons I love it! Since it came out, I have to watch it every year! I admire the actors and crew of the movie, as Lapland was a very frozen wonderland when they were filming. Take care of you and hubby!

Jana, Purl Soho has a great free cowl pattern called "Newsprint in Line Weight and Quartz". It's a simple stripe pattern alternating 2 colors of fingering weight yarn. I like the black + white stripes colorway, but you can use any 2 colors.
