Hi Jana, First I really want to thank you for the precious time sharing your knits and chatting with us. I can retaliate, when you say don't forget you're human too. Not an easy thing to do. My oldest son has ADHD, people were very quick to find "faults" at us, beeing too weak or too strict, even trying to cast us aside. Whatever we did/do nothing seems enough but we always try our best. We need to focus more on essential matters for ourselves and our families. Knitting helps a lot to keep going on. Love your Yellow/Violet Combo :) take care !

I would have loved to meet you in Breda, but I will have back surgery coming Tuesday, and know I will not be recovered enough from that to attend the Knit2Purl2 event. Wishing you and all others a lovely day there. I guessed your 2nd color for the Stephen West KAL would be either dark blue or dark purple. Your color combination looks great, will be a beautiful shawl. And yes, I have seen your previous shawls, but it would be nice to see them again in 1 video. I so feel you! My son is autistic, a wonderful, good and smart teenager (he is 15). But the week have been really difficult and challenging. This week went out on a school trip for 3 days and on day two I did not went to school myself (I am going to norwegian classes). I realized that I don't even remember if I had a day breack in the last 14 years. A day to not worry, a day to not overthinking our situation and struggle, a day where I don't need to find solutions. So I took the day for me, I did not want to know nothing about nobody that day, I did not want to think at nothing or nobody that day, just wanted a day without worries. I stayed in bed reading, listening music, doing my hair, made me a delicios lunch and it was so perfect! I also asked my husband to not text me or calling me unless there is a life issue! Is this making me a bad mother? No! I just stole a day in many many years just for me! I give all my days to my child, all my energy, I feel like the Phoenix bird everyday! So I think I deserved that day! I just hope to have another chance sooner, to not wait years and years. Thank you for a lovely episode as always ❤ Hugs, Maria.

I'm glad in a way when you said your husband felts superwash socks because Ithought it was just my son in law .He makes socks go into funny shapes and felts any yarn..I despair. I won't let him wash them at home ,he brings them to me but whether it is expensive or inexpensive, 4ply or double, they all behave in very strange ways. I think it must be the heavy work boots.

You reminded me, and now I want to watch f•r•i•e•n•d•s ... again 😂 mum of special need child here aswell. Luckily my oldest daughter learn to see when mum needs break and then she takes care of my sn son, to be honest he likes her better then me in terms of care and he chooses to behave differently and less demanding. They mostly giggle or discuss serious things (which mum doesn't understand because she is "so last season" 😅

I just bought some neon yellow and neon pink slightly gradient fluffy yarn (Hobbii Jade) to try it out and now I'm wondering if I should join the MKAL. But actually I also just bought the Starflake pattern because I also have 2 other yarns that I want to make into a shawl and need a 2-colour pattern. If you know any other 2-colour shawl patterns where the amount of yarn can be flexible, please let me know!
