You're not kidding about the awe-inspiring landscape. It never ceases to amaze me where some humans choose to live. I can't help wondering how some of these people make a living out in the middle of nowhere. You're also giving some perspective on why fast chargers get put in some locations that don't seem the most logical or convenient but there are other considerations like where the power is coming from.

Wow! As I think..I may have commented before, Bjorn - and now Ole - you are both pioneers for the purpose of developing EV charging networks - especially in more remote areas. In Canada we have so much coastline in the north that it will literally take an 'army' just to plan the plan! It will be interesting to follow what is accomplished in northern Scandinavia verses Canada. Bjorn and Ole...you guys are way ahead of us already!

Hi Björn, I was thinking, almost every gasstation has a sign on a tall pole out in front so that people that are driving by can find them easily. EV charging points seem to be kind of anonymous, they are often hidden behind buildings and stuff, wouldn't it be a good idea to have a highly visible sign for the EV chargers also? Like a tall pole with a clearly identifiable logo on it that lights up when its dark...

Hi Bjørn, Big fan from Trondheim. I have a question about practicality for owing a TM3 LR. I don't have the possibility to charge at home/work and my average weekly commute is 210 km. Have a supercharger station 12km away from where I live. The first question, Is it wise to charge TM3 only with supercharger. Second, How much real-world KMs TM3 gives for 80%-15% battery.
@bjornnyland
@bjornnyland 5 жыл бұрын
Relying on only supercharger is not something I recommend on a permanent basis. You waste your time having to wait for the car to charge up. And you have to take that detour every time. The battery will also degrade faster. Real world range on Model 3 is about 500 km.

Charging at home, or work, is priceless. If you live, or work, in a building with a big garage and it would be to costly to install your own plug, you should try contacting your electrical company and companies like PlugShare. In general both team up to install the necessary lines for a pool of L2 chargers, and take car of the management and payment, so there is no cost for the landlord beside providing the location.

Drone rules are very strict in Norway without a professional license. Like 5km radius from airports and so on. This blocks several of these towns/villages due to the proximity of the airport. I've seen a lot of drone videos from foreigners traveling that would be in violation of these rules.
