Bless you my friend, thats so very kind. I feel responsible speaking on here, although opinions are my own and I try to remind people of that as often as I can, when I get it as badly wrong as I have with lower surgery, I feel I have to make that public, I dont want to spread misinformation about something so important. Im finding other peoples myths and misconceptions very hard to wade through to come to my own truth and so I dont want to add to it. Thank you so much for your kind coments

It's so wonderful how open you are able to be about your journey. In every video I have ever watched you are also so thoughtful of how you explain things. I think its a general fear that if you openly question then its not right for you. Theres no question of whether I want a penis or not...the answer to that is a resounding YES! I just wasnt sure I wanted the risks/time taken/uncertainness etc and I needed to really do some deep soul searching to work that out. Cheers bud

Thanks Robin. Now my mind is made up, it's time to move into acceptance, joy and positivity! There is certainly no reason it won't go as amazingly well as my top surgery. I had complications with that but it's not affected the final result. Cheers my friend!

Congrstulstions Finn for clearing another hurdle. I have had the exact same experience in deciding to: a) have bottom surgery, b) which one. My fear was, will my body heal good with the phallo ( because of my thyroid disease my healing is very slow). Toni and I have talked about it and her response to me was: you won't be happy settling with the meta. As I processed her statement and now listening to you has confirmed my overall feelings about surgery. I'm doing my update vid today and will discuss it. Congrats Finn on your decision for lower surgery. I know a guy in my FTM group who is getting phalloplasty this coming Sept. with Dr. Crane in San Francisco. I have heard he is the best in the world with this procedure. Have you heard of him? I also do believe and agree with you about the myths surrounding phalloplasty as you mentioned in your video.

Hi my friend, I have heard of Dr Crane and he seems to have an excellent reputation. We are limited to UK surgeons here. Getting funding for Belgium has been possible but difficult but its a long waiting list. I feel confident in the London team, Ive met Mr Christopher and I feel safe. The results Ive seen from them have been good also. I am seeing lots of wonderful looking penis's and hearing lots of happy customers. I was blinded by the misconceptions before.

Totally agree with the whole now or never theme im in limbo land too! Feel happy with my chest and want to crack on with storing these eggs and creating my hulk body but then the thought of building up to let it all deteriorate during the long ass recovery period. Its just not easy at all i thought the hardest thing was always gonna be the wait for T. That feels like nothing now!

+Wolfie Hi my friend. Here in the uk the surgeons use full thickness skin grafts to replace the skin on the arm. These usually come the bum but if you have enough extra skin they can also use the tummy. Are you in the UK?

+Wolfie ah hello up there! *waves* Well youll be fine then, just discuss with the London team , it may be that youll need to put a little weight on so that you can get the tummy graft rather than the bum graft. Worse case scenario, its only ten days of bum hell and then youll be able to sit once the staples come out

Interesting video, I'm glad you posted it. I find that I too have a bit of lower dysphoria. I don't use public restrooms unless I'm going to pee my pants (basically, never) so I don't use a peecock or anything. I don't even pack usually, but I am finding that I think that I'll want to at least pack very soon because I'll be going to the gym, and I'm stressed out about that. Anyway I'm going to look more into all the options, but I know that my insurance would not pay for a phallo, it only pays up to $25,000 and only if the surgeon is in network (pretty sure they will not be~). Anyway glad to hear your thoughts as always!~ ps have you seen Loren Cameron's lower area? He has a phallus that is connected to his clit, so it looks a bit weird but he has retained full sensation. You might want to look into that!

Hi Kim, hope you are healing well? I think as our transition progress, our areas of focus change, at least thats been my experience. I realise how lucky we are here in the UK that we have options available to us to fund surgery. I wish you luck in your discoveries. I hadnt heard of Loren Cameron, it sounds like an extended meta? Loren did a great book many years ago of photographs of FTM's including himself. He has a true phallus, AND retained his clit. I'll try to find a photo

Remember you CAN have the surgeon you want...and London is exhausting 3 surgeries at least...and so many people end up over stressed physically and mentally. Belgium process is the whole surgery including vaginectomy in ONE operation.

Hi there. I've been watching your videos since the beginning. Your just inspirational to me. I finally started my journey about 8 wks ago, I feel wonderful. However I'm the opposite my chest doesn't bother me because I'm still small, my junk area bothers me the most. It's rather weird. But I too want the phallo, for all the same reason as you. It's just expensive and one can only hope Obama gets insurance to start covering all the USA needs for transmen. Take care and keep posting. :)

I live in the US and my friends who have had this surgery used their thigh for their skin graft- no arm scar and you could just wear boxer shorts during sex if you want to cover up. If you have any concerns about the arm graft see if you could find a Dr to use your leg :) (It's Jack from KZbin/FB btw, I changed my name!)

Hi mate! Thanks for the explanation, that would have confused me! There are other donor site options but it seems the arm gives the better results for me in terms of sensation. Also, my advantage is that I've already come to terms with the severe scaring l have on my arms from self harm so having an additional scar isn't too distressing for me.

Hi dude, was just wondering, do you have to be on T for a certain amount of time to have lower surgery? And how long was you on T before you had your upper surgery? :)

Hi mate, I was on T for 6 months before top surgery. The general consensus is that your clinic likes to have known you for about a year before you have top surgery. With lower surgery, I believe its about 2 years. It does seem to vary between clinics, and with the new guidelines it can be a bit confusing!

These vids are great. But this person needs to spend much less time thinking about their body and much more time helping others, volunteering, being outside lots more, working hard every day. The less time you can spend thinking about yourself, the better your general mental health will be.
