Before phallo I made sure to switch from using my 3 in one/stp packers to a basic Mr limpy. I thought it would help ease the transition to having to sit again, and I am so glad I did that. if you're looking at having two stage urethral lengthening, I encourage you to ditch the stp in the lead up. It's a bit shit to start with, but I think it helped me process the in between time before I was hooked up because like you said it's hard to use one after stage 1.

That is very sound advice! I did consider doing that, but I just decided to enjoy my last stp until I couldnt for a while!

!!! The bit about the urethra complications! It makes so much sense, but I never would have thought of that. Not being able to stand to pee is a huge dysphoria trigger for me, so being prepared for the feeling of having that taken away could be huge. I was already planning for patience, but not quite in that way, so thank you! 😊

Yes, the not being able to use my stp after first stage I had planned for as best as possible, butbthe backwards step I hadnt! It's really worth bearing in mind ever complication and going into each stage open minded.

So many areas ti look after, so many things to worry about....drove myself nuts! But oh my yes....by the end you are an expert in recovery and all that osin and stress is definitely worth it!

Hi, I was wondering if you know what it’s like as a partner to take care of your significant other during this period of time. How do you deal with your partner’s pain and take care of them both physically and mentally? It would personally really help me to have video content about this subject.

Hello! Sorry, I missed this! These are great questions, and I will get a blog/video done on this. In the meantime, I have a few blogs that might help. I have also written a book about the process. more info here: finlaygames.com

I'm just behinning my journey. My first T injection was yesterday. I feel like I'm still in a state where my brain hasn't quite caught up with what I've done. Kind of like being in some sort of dream state. Has anyone else experienced these feelings?? It's hard for me to see that far down the road. Like, my day of surgery seems like it is an eternity away.

Hello my friend, congrats on starting your jouney! I can all feel a little surreal in the beginning, especially if you have waited a long time for this. AS for surgery, just take things one day at a time, enjoy this puberty abd all he changes it will bring!

First of all Congrats! I started T on Monday and feel the same, I guess I havent really realized it yet because obviously there arent any changes yet. I also feel alone because of that, everyone else is just so happy when they start T, and I really don't feel any different 😅

@@milan666milan I agree with Finn. I think we need to look at this literally like a long journey, but as with ANY journey, it requires patience, and one step at a time. Also, congrats to you, as well. I find finn's videos are a good source of support. Of course, you have mine too, brother. Hang in there.

How did it go?
@ncburton17133 жыл бұрын
@@thehippiewitch4321 The surgeon wants me to lose more weight if at all possible and bring my A1C down. I have a follow up in 4 months. He also recommends taking skin from my stomach to create the phallus. Which is kinda cool because I get a tummy Tuck that way. lol Unfortunately, because of my diabetes he strongly recommends not doing urethral lengthening. So, there some very positive things and some things that were a bit disappointing, but not too surprising. I think the hardest thing is the waiting. My original consult was 4 years ago and I was told I needed to lose about 50lbs. After 4 years of hard work and a gastric bypass, I need to lose more. I understand why and I would be working on my health more either way, but it's frustrating. And then I get even more frustrated because I feel like I'm whining. 😒 At least the consult was much more positive this time. I actually feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel this time.

How many years into your transition until you can get bottom surgery, I’ve been told it’s around 3-5 years
@FinnTheInfinncible3 жыл бұрын
In the UK you can get it at anytime, whenever you are ready
@PorkChopBatter3 жыл бұрын
I know that bottom surgery just isn’t worth it for me, I know that it’s really tough and the complications, I spoke to a friend who has issues after issues for 5 years. I know that’s not always the case, but that isn’t worth it for me, I know sadly I won’t be happy unless something similar to a transplant is available. But new technology for it is being found year after year, worth waiting for me on the off chance they can have something like a lab grown penis heh. Took me 5 years to accept my top surgery will have scars! No wonder I’m so picky about bottom surgery lol. It’s good that you definitely say it’s good to think about it. I think people have to be aware how tough it is and if it’s for them. But those that do decide it’s for them, it will be worth it! Just not for me though
@FinnTheInfinncible3 жыл бұрын
I can completely understand, and l think you are wise to make the right decision for yourself. Its vital to choose this surgery only if you can make peace with the risks involved, if you cant, then absolutely you are wise not to choose it. It was the same for.me for my first few years of transition, l felt the same way about lower surgery. It was only when my need for a penis increased, that my willingness to accept any risks grew to the point l could consider surgery. I do think that over the next few years we will see improvements in surgery techniques, especially as acceptance of trans folk grows and access to treatment improves.

Hello Finn! 🤗 What's Lamby looking at this time? (At least he's behaving himself this time!) 😅😁 I truly agree with you that a little humor helps and can go a long way when discussing tough/uncomfortable/heavy topics. TRIGGER WARNING FOR SOME PEOPLE BEYOND THIS POINT IN MY COMMENT This was interesting Finn. I was looking up different ways to get "hooked up" like just metoido without phallo, still want my v canal open, but would like to see if I could use my labia minora as part of urethral lengthening to hook up for standing to pee. So far just seems like it's not something some would consider. I can't have any type of implants unfortunately, but I have lots of excess skin due to losing lots of weight and here in the US, it seems they're more "snooty" about wanting to do the SAME thing to every transgender person than taking into account any personal preferences (modifications) to their "assembly line" type surgery for us. I see Canada is a bit more relaxed about what they would do for someone in my situation, but then I have to pay for it out of pocket while here in the US, I *COULD* get surgery covered. Still searching my options for sure. So far that's my experience. I've had top surgery already and had to do everything myself with no support, so my scars are very pronounced, so I still am not completely comfortable being shirtless.
