Bro the prices you mentioned are for different common shares incred is primarily selling CCPS of Swiggy which is priced at btw 350 to 400 whereas the normal equity shares are being traded btw 500 to 550 You guys made more than half of the video about the structure of primary/secondary mrkt and not about swiggy shares The lockin you are talking about is applicable to everyone post ipo like everyone has a lockin of 6m who has unlisted shares And if i want to buy/sell the shares before ipo i can do that theres no lockin and you guys should have discussed about the tax obligations too

Unlisted shares are a hit or miss with lot of uncertainty. I had bought Tata technologies and Reliance Retail, tata did good but reliance retail screwed investors over as stock was trading at 3000+ rs a piece and reliance took back the share by giving only 1300-1400 rs, huge loss

Says if u r thinking can buy on one platform and sell on another and then goes on to tell about lockin period which is altogether another thing. I can sell unlisted shares before ipo without lockin period and will be taxed for stcg for unlisted shares which i guess is 20%.

​@@sriharsha580The thing is unlisted shares have a minimum investment amount and top up amount.. So the entry barrier is high.. And these are high risk trades.. I mean the shares reflected in my demat after almost 45 days.. I personally think Oyo is a great company.. The way they have turned around is commendable.. So the share price basically depends on management.. If u have invested early and the fundamentals are strong, chances are very slim that you'll be making a loss.. But these are again high risk transactions..

In my view, Unlisted shares is Unknown devil...just like axiom goes KNOWN DEVIL IS BETTER THAN UNKNOWN DEVIL. Danger is more acute for Retail Investors who are tempted in this bull market. Safety of Principal should be paramount to return on principal, which I believe most of us are ignoring in this bull market.
