If the magnet strip isn’t perfectly aligned with the alarm the thing won’t work properly. My Front doors trim isn’t flat and no matter how I set the alarm off the strip doesn’t stop the alarm from chiming or going off.

I have one but the adhesive tape on the back of the main unit didn't hold good enough and it fell to the floor. The batteries spilled out. Should I add some glue to the adhesive tape?

I wonder if it consumes zero volts when it is idle, because the magnet can be a mechanical switch, so the idle circuit can be off until mechanically switched on.

i cannot set it up! everytime i switch it on the alarm goes goes off constatly and wont switch off. Obvioulsy i dont want to switch it off as i want it to work.
