This is very late for her. She debuted in the late 50’s. The negative remarks here are made by ignorant people, who have no idea what it was like to hear her in the 60’s in her great parts. The walls trembled.

I like her very much but, for some reason I can't explain, this didn't work so well for her as one could expect. Ulrica needs deeper contraltrish voice to be effective. But it is quite good, though.

Un registro grave da contralto viene bene in quest'aria, ma non è strettamente necessario. Le note più gravi sono solo nella ripetizione della parola "silenzio", l'ultima dell'aria.

Thanks a lot for your kind answer, the lowest note are in the extremely end of the aria, on the repetition of word "silenzio". two G3 (Sol3). The aria is good for a contralto with extension to the mezzo soprano high register as Fedora Barbieri or Elena Nicolai, for ex. Not easy to find today. Best regards, Vittorio Maurino Tosi.

Not imposing enough. This role demands much more of a contralto sound. I never understand the hype about her. Never liked her timbre.

The hype about her was when she was singing solidly mezzo roles such as Amneris, Azucena and Principessa in Adriana Lecouvreur. This is a little low for her.

Her acting skills were great, her voice.... eh. depressed soprano and ugly timbre.
