Haragei Lucid yes its best to net get hit but as last resort its better to use the forehead. head butt the punch. Its takes makes the punch have less energy. Also most people when they punch they clench there fist on the impact. But if you shorten the distance faster then they anticipated it can injury there hand

@jonathanturcios5446 4 жыл бұрын
Don’t use weights they can cause bad habits to drop hands and bad form, you should train in heavy gloves, and hit the bag with them, and shadowbox with them, 16oz and up should be a good start

The last one is no joke. Years ago I was training for a tournament and got my left shoulder dislocated because of that. We were going hard sparring I threw a left jab at the same time he was coming in with an overhand right. We both parried to the right so my left arm was straight over his shoulder while he was swinging. CRACK!!! Lesson learned.

I love to see how Shane respects Firas both as a guest and as a coach, he doesn't go challenging him with the "What if this and what if that", instead he learns and tries to understand so he can apply it. I guess that mindset and manner is pretty rare nowadays when people already reached a certain "level" in martial arts. Respect 💪🏻

A little note from my boxing xp to the first tip. If you open your hands a bit, when the Jab comes, you Can push the Jab Down and inwards towards the opponents other hand, that Way they cant counter with the other hand, and their side is exposed for a good counter offensive. Dont use often tho Lol, good for when you/they are tired and get to work the body
