My fire ants are getting a new ant park and their reaction was pretty surprising! The Phoenix Empire, my new young but booming colony of red tropical fire ants (Solenopsis geminata) are now mature enough to get a brand new a space, a space larger than they've ever had before. Watch how the ants react to the new ant park, as well as to the special "ant picnic" I prepared for them. After the introduction, what I observed within the ant nest will truly blow your mind! Do you have ants too ? I have some different species. Most from where I live, French Riviera, we have nice species here. And some from other locations, asia mainly. It's been 2 years I decided to be an ant keeper. For now, my favorite is the Camponotus nicobarensis, I love Camponotus lateralis and Camponotus vagus, which are from my place.

I don't mind them as much, mostly due to them cleaning up messes , Or crumbs i may have missed while cleaning. There just garden varieties. Answer to the question of the week: “why was the ant park minimally decorated and kept dry?” it was to make sure the Phoenix empire wouldn’t nest in the ant park (because fire ants nest in moist areas and they wouldn’t like the small amount of decorations, and I think that he wants to have them nest in the test tube still)

Its important to decorate the ant park with sand and rock and dry moss and stick to make it dry so the ant wont move in when connecting the ant park in there feeding chamber.

I honestly think this is my favorite show on youtube. I've loved ants forever, but this show has taught me even more than I already knew. You have taken me through a journey i could not imagine, as I've been here since a roach having her babies eaten. Since the first fire nation's birth.
