Honestly, you just need a way to 'turn it off' cause eventually the amount of roaches breeding won't be enough to sustain the ants. So I would say only open the floodgates every once in a few days or so. Personal non-professional opinion.

I think it's ethical, it is of course a natural process. And you're giving the roaches nutrients and letting them live normal lives as long as they don't travel through the tunnels. But when they do travel through the tunnels, the ants benefit and hunt. Benefits for both, like you said. I'd call the colony the EncROACHment

I really like this idea with the feeder roaches. It's not like you are forcing the roaches into the "tubes of natural selection " aka "tubes of death ". You are offering the sacrifices a good life, well, better than they would get out in the wild. They dont have to hunt for their food and the only danger they face is the tubes. They wont have the constant stress of looking out for danger. We all know the cockroaches will be well cared for by you with all the food they could eat and the food would be good food also. I know this bothers you and I'm sorry but thank you for doing this.

I'd disagree with that one. I'm cool with both options but if you drop em in or place a tube that leads to their certain death are both random kinda selections. It causes equal amounts of suffering the difference is you don't feel as bad cause you gave them an option they are not aware of. The tube explorers want to die just as much as the ones you throw in. What will define how viable of a strategy this is rests solely on the amount of roaches lost per feeding, if you lose too many roaches too quickly the numbers could dwindle down and impact both the fire ant colony and the roaches, so if this setup can mantain a considerable number of roaches safe and breeding while feeling some of them to the empire, thats wondeful! But be mindful that the ands might take a much bigger bite that we expect and then our temple would begin to empty. Kudos to you for this amazing idea ! Ant love forever :D

Hi, I really liked this idea, and think it's a great concept. I just think you shouldn't leave it "working" 24/7, I think you should block the holes with cotton (or the actual plug that comes with the AC Outworld) for most of the time, and like once a day, or twice at most unplug it and let them in. At least in the beggining, untill you can be absolutelly sure that they can reproduce faster then they die. I just think that because although there's so many of them, when they were falling that was in so big groups at a time, and kept going, that I'm afraid the rate is to big for them to be able to reproduce in time. I don't know, maybe I'm totally wrong, that was just the feelling I got from the footage... Keep up the good work, love your channel!

I agree this is a wonderful idea, but there needs to be some sort of valve system to prevent all the baby roaches from entering "Hells Kitchen" allow them to grow to adult size and possibly not even fit down the tube. Those adults can repopulate the feed stock thus keeping the ants fed long term.
