This is the first time in years that I’ve actually been interested in fire ants. I’ve hated them since kindergarten cuz I got swarmed by them at recess and it hurt like crazy. So I always avoided anything related to them. But this was really cool to watch and learn about. I love science and never thought to learn the science behind how they do what they do. I think I just found a new channel to watch and learn from🙃

Best protein source are = Feeder Roaches and Crickets(for me at least), mealworms and superworms does not have enough protein and has more fat and chitin, but ants still accept them, though your idea sounds like a good one, i think it would not be needed since there are many keepers out there with experiences with feeding a large variety of insects to their pet ants. 😊

LOL IDK IF ANYONE WILL READ THIS: Fun Fact: The banana is technically a herb AND a berry. The herb is due to the fact that the “tree” that it grows on, does not have bark but layers and layers of leafs wrapped around it. The berry part comes from the fact that is fulfills the three requirements of being a berry: 1. Skin or outer part of fruit 2. The inner part (usually soft) holds the seeds 3. Develop a flower containing one single ovary Banana’s check these all off the list. As they do have seed inside but they are very small and people don’t notice. Strawberries on the other hand have more than one ovary in their flowers (as do raspberries) Though berries are classified under fruit. So go ahead and call a Banana a fruit or a herb. Doesn’t matter. Edit: Also botanically raspberries and blackberries don’t count as berries either
