have you done any testing with natures wrath vs a shirking empower+other active empower buffs? i can test on a dummy but id get different results since base dmg bypasses defence perks (since they only mitigate base dmg)while empower is an overall damage boost and doesnt effect defence perks in the same way

if the empower has a timer, then it gets auto removed regardless, only exception is tether which can’t be dispelled. So shirking empower will not work

depends the build, if were talking about mage nothing will beat natures wrath damage wise since its so easy to reach the 50% empower cap even wothout timed empowers so natures just gives an extra 20% flat damage boost ontop for most full elemental converted weapons its most likely the case because of runeglass and harnessing, but for melee physical weapons is where the timed empowers would have much more value + also being able to run fewtherweight instead

Hi Caniix, do you mind if I use the comments section to ask you a few questions? For this build, is it more interesting to increase the maximum flaming damage or convert it to another element? I currently have a staff with Attunement, Alacritous Punishment and Emp. Fireball. Is it worth not having the Fireball but the Jagged on the staff? I have a lot of ice items, including a ring. So I'm wondering if it might be interesting to convert the damage, after all, as there are a lot of mages on my server, other players use a high percentage of fire protection.

converting the damage is fine also just make sure the harnessing/runeglass on your gear is the same type as the D.o.t of the runeglass on the weapon if you play finisher as secondary i would say its 100% better to run keenly jagged over fireball perk to proc the extra 15% damage on a bleeding target (works on both weapons) and moving the fireball perk to the gear would be great

what is the combo with the rapier?? i still cant seem to get it down. im new to the game and dont understand how the bleed works. is there something you are waiting for and then it procs for you to 1 tap? Thanks in advance!

onyx and emerald will always be more damage on the finish but since we run full fire harnessing and int passives boosting our elemntal damage i choose to run it with ruby on this build mainly for the light attack value, on emerald/onyx the light attacks with int scaling dont do much without elem gem slotted

do you mean 150 dex? if so it’s to reach the checkpoint for extended bleed duration which gives alot of damage to rapier finish combo

Top def perks are probably enchanted ward and slash conditioning, amulet is probably enough for thrust

isnt natures wrath kinda wasted on this rapier setup? but u do have that combo down too smoth eh.. why no fire damage ring? u want the 7% empower.. thats why the runeglass and fireharnessing, to have the 205 + from natures wrath, and still have high empower..

I guess the ring is just what he got. And about rapier, that's actually one of the best options with NW. Momentum is not empower (it's base dmg) but the timer is label as empower, so it doesn't work with NW.... u know, AGS work. (same thing happens with Shirking elemental perks on weapons, I already reported this but i highly doubt ags will ever fix it) Also Omni directional, and Adagio do not work, so basically with rapier and NW u want to run blood tree.

thanks and yeah ideally i’d like to have fire damage + heart + blood letting but whenever i have bleed build i will prioritise blood letting, need gold to craft that bis 😄 also as ThaCousin said NW is really nice with rapier since theres no much inbuilt empower anyway and gives a really nice damage boost to it including tondo bleeds =]

Wow you equipped natures wrath and finisher and get a massive increase to damage with literally 0 added risk. Equipping artifacts are such an amazing display of skill.

the risk is that you cant use featherweight or any other artifact that it replaces, so you trade off survivability for damage The artifacts dont press the buttons for you tho

@@caniix Even with the likes of featherweight. It gives players more resistance capabilities they wouldn't have had before and 0 expense. Artifacts across the board, dumb down the game and remove skill from the game.Artifacts were supposed to have negative cons that come with the pros, to make you consider which one you equip, but outside the jewelry ones, they are just positive bonuses that drastically increase stats. They can increase, damage, healing, defensibility all with basically 0 trade off, 0 change in gameplay which is not proper balance. This isn't a knock at you or players in general, but just how artifacts work in general. When you can equip multiple artifacts that can basically just boost your damage by 30-40 percent for simply equipping them rofl that's just bad design. Is every Fire staff player magically 20 percent better now because we are all equipping natures wrath??? the answer is no. yet we all do stupid damage which makes the gameplay unpleasant for everyone else. It also feels extremely bad, seeing players you normally steam roll every time, hit you for 5k now because they are using artifacts that artificially inflate your dps. Artifacts while a cool idea at the start, simply break the game and make it less fun.

@@caniix Its not so much about a level playing field. Its about how it rewards skill less gameplay. Take endless thirst and the wall artifact. Heavy sns players that use this combo with 350 or more constitution. Before the expansion and heavy meta, pretty much all of these players on my server anyways, would die over 15 times a game consistently. Now they can literally just run this build, pop regen serums and hold block vs 10 people and simply not die rofl. Not because they have improved as a player but because new items came into the game that dumbed it down and helps skill less players participate. I know better players will always still come out on top, but its the idea that literally anyone can equip artifacts and do more than they would otherwise be able too, which in my opinion is bad for the game. Artifacts aren't inherently bad for the game, but how they reward skill less gameplay, Is bad for the game. Things should have risk vs reward. high damage specs should require more skill, not less. But anyone can equip artifacts and a range weapon and hit for 5k now.
