I think I read somewhere that it's because the blood of the Fell Dragon, Grims, flows inside Robin's body. Tharja is a dark mage and like rather dark...things, so, I guess that's why. Robin is mostly human - yet also quite close to being the ultimate god and harbinger of darkness...more divine and evil than the dark arts itself.

I think it has to do more with Robin being Grima than actual love, she is a dark mage who likes dark things and feels drawn to the dark power that she senses in him. Of course she can actually fall in love with him if the player decides to S support her, but if the player decides to have her S support someone else she will fall for that person instead.
