As someone who was in the first couple hundred of Zoran's subscribers it's been very fun watching him gain more and more traction in the FE community and seeing how he's helped shape the Fates meta into IMO the most interesting and thought-provoking of the whole series. I loved Deltre's Conquest playthrough. He was doing things like Wyvern Elise and no-Rescue Endgame that were not meta at all at the time, and he's got a genuinely likable personality. In fact I first found out about Deltre through Mekkah.

I think my top 3 would be: 1. Azura 2. Dancing batallion in 3 houses (lol) 3. Byleth ring I think her availability is even better than a 4 person dance than can be used by anybody in the game (and so, isnt tied to a fragile unit)

I would still argue for Xander in S-tier. Siegfried's 80 hit isn't bad: he's got enough Skill and Luck to mitigate it, and he has access to the same hit-boosting options like Attack Stance that everyone else has. No he can't use it as a flier, but fliers almost never have good 1-2range anyways, and Xander's D in lances is enough for the part of the game where Wyvern is recommended. At base he starts with the same defense as an instant-promoted General Benny (actually more with the personal skill factored in), and he doesn't require any investment to be excellent. But with investment (Speedwing + access to Hero/Bow Knight through Laslow or Selena) he has the speed and durability to solo effectively any enemy formation you need him to. I like Shurikenbreaker on him to help with the final few maps. He even has useful support options like Shelter and strong attack stance options. If you want to say his availability disqualifies him from S-tier, that's a tiering call which has more to do with priorities in evaluating a tier list. I will say that the part of the game he misses is the easiest section of the game, and he joins right when the difficulty level starts ramping up. He doesn't cost a Master Seal to use, though admittedly his delayed access to supports does mean that some of his options only come online relatively late.

A fun note for Flora and Felicia They can obtain 5 breaker skills (only 1 can do it per playthrough however) For Felicia she gets access to tome, shuriken, and axe breakers without any supports, Odin or Leo can give her tome breaker, and Corrin would have to give her lance or swordbreaker, and she can do it with reasonable time to spare Flora interestingly can do it exactly, she gets a skill every single level until she caps She starts as a level 5 maid and starts with live to serve, so she can just barely make it to 5 breaker skills but she also needs Corrin marriage for a 5th skill Are these good strategies? Uhhhh probably not, are they interesting and unique things only they can really do? Yeah!

Small correction here: Felicia gets bowbreaker, not tomebreaker from Leo/Odin S-support, by using the sorceress class. She can also get that from Flora with an A+ support, too, if I'm not mistaken

Honestly, an early weapon from a character pickup in the Castle can really change the run. During my last Ironman, I got Effie's Lance- the most powerful lance in the game by far. Putting it on Effie, she was able to one shot any non-green unit for a good while. I also got Peri's lance, which meant both her, and Silas had 1-2 options.Even the joke/raider options are insane. Getting a bronze/raider axe before chapter 7, means you can heart seal and reclass Elise that map.

Haven't watched the full video yet, but ever since Fates released to now, Leo is the only unit I've never heard ANYTHING about. All I can remember like very very early CQ was that it was debating whether he was bad, required Adventurer Nyx to function or if Brynhildr was a good tome or not because it had no debuffs. I don't even know what the CQ meta is at this point. Last I heard, Xander just goes Wyvern Lord now and Paladin with Berserker Charlotte backpack is olddddd news. Also CQ stream Kinshi Knight Effie hype 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

My MVP Conquest maddening classic: Aqua Made her lvl 21 before "The Choice" and after that, I made my Corrin healer and all my other healers promoted before chapter 10 by healing her when she was harmed by the boss in the ice village... Made my maddening run a bit easier :p.

Last Conquest playthrough I did, I went with +Mag -Res Male Corrin, had him marry Strategist Felicia, and made him a Dark Flier in Ch 8, until he reclassed to Malig Knight at lvl 21. Was probably my best unit, it was awesome to Dual Club Ryoma for such an easy win, and getting all the bonuses from Hinoka's map was fantastic.

Tbf dual club ryoma with Camilla is something you can do in any playthrough. Still that corrin sounds very strong

@@MegaScytheman Very true, and maybe I'm brainfarting here, but Dual Club Corrin can kill Ryoma immediately while Camilla or any other unit requires you to actually clear the chapter, right? Or is there a way to warp units into the room early?

With Azura, I have to wonder how Azura is as a dancer if Shelter wasn’t a thing. I wouldn’t necessarily call Azura the best dancer just because Shelter allows her to sing multiple times. Inspiring Song is a great skill tho, that is indisputable.
