It was agony trying to choose who to S support in my first play through- Silas or Kaze. The thing that helped me decide was my unit and Kaze had been through more crazy moments in battle, the craziest being the battle AGAINST Silas! My unit (named Nova) was fighting Silas while paired with Kaze, and at first I assumed Nova would have JUST enough health to defeat him alone. Then, when it became the enemy’s turn, Silas gets a power boost that I STILL have no clue where it came from, and it’s just enough damage to kill Nova. I was 2 seconds from raging when during her death animation, she gets a green-glowey thing around her like she’s being healed, and she ends up still being alive at 1 HP. I freak out and get her the hell outta there, letting Kaze finish off Silas. Turns out it was Kaze’s Miraculous Save ability- that has a PRETTY LOW CHANCE of activating- that saved Nova’s life. What a badass. He rescued her butt tons of times in my playthrough, so I ended up marrying the guy cause they fought so well. Poor Silas tho, he got friend zoned *hard.*

On my first playthrough of Birthright, which I finished up recently, I lost Kaze and through it was a plot point. Absolutely convinced he would return later, especially after seeing him class changed and all that good stuff in other's 'My Castle'. Turned out, he didn't. Little did I know then, the only way to save Kaze is by having an A support between him and the Avatar character before he kicks the bucket in Chapter 15, I believe. I was sad when I found out death was permanent, and I read during the credits: 'Retired: Chapter 15'. I'll be honest, that broke my heart a little.

It's funny how Kaze complains in a few supports how women tend to flock to him, giving him trinkets and such. His support with Rinkah is another one with that setup.

Kaze/Nohr!Corrin is so sweet though. It's a very classic enemies to friends to lovers thing. They fight each other in the first chapter when she's trying to prove herself but then she protects him from her father when he orders her to kill the prisoners (including Kaze). It just gets more intense and romantic from there. Plus green haired Kana is adorable!!
