Like I said, Myanmar is an absolutely beautiful country and the people are honest, friendly and helpful. True, Myanmar people have suffered for way too long through no fault of their own, way back from centuries-long Anglo British Colonialism, followed by decades long Anglo Western boycott & sanction. Burma/Myanmar: From Anglo Western Colonialism to Anglo Western boycott & sanction to Anglo Western sponsored civil war.. It never ends. 😔 In my humble opinion, the coups in Myanmar and some others around the world today are totally different from the coups which took place over half a century earlier when newly independent nations, including Burma, just came out of centuries-long Colonialism, bitter and poverty-stricken, turned to a new deal of Social-Democratic system (Socialism/Communism). - Today's coups, in most cases, are changes in the political system only, while the economic system is mostly left intact. Like I said, today's coups, in nations such as South Korea, the Philippines & Thailand, in most cases, are changes in the political sector only, while the economic/investment sectors are mostly left intact. - So what is this the fact that the West & their Western news media hardly utter a negative word about coups in Asian nations such as South Korea & the Philippines in the past and Thailand today; and yet the West, Western news media and their affiliates hardly have a day goes by without having negative comments & reactions regarding coup in Myanmar. May I ask why are they treating it so differently with Myanmar and most of all, what are they up to, what are their true motives behind all these? - Speaking of USA-led joint annual military exercise in Thailand, which has been under military coup since 2014, and true, last August 2021/22, the largest annual military exercise was held among full participating nations, USA, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia & Singapore..[For honest truths, pls read the informative multi-pages comments by 'Ms. Gregoria' at, "Myanmar remains in social and economic crisis since military seized power/BBC News"... It's on KZbin ]. In my humble opinion, Burma would have been much better off without Anglo British Colonialism. For instance, there's hardly any Muslim, Hindu or Christian there up until Colonialism. I suppose it's fair to say that many of these tragedies that nation facing today, such as racial, ethnic and religious conflicts, started with Colonialism. 😔 Speaking of ethnic and religious tragedies Burma facing today, the fact that the world's longest Civil War which is in Myanmar, mainly between Buddhist Burmese and Christian Karen (while Buddhist Karen are largely at peace) was made it possible, prolonged and supported by Anglo Clans of USA, UK & Australia, etc while they are using next-door neighbor Thailand (which has a defense treaty with them) as a base camp since in the 1950. In my humble opinion, ethnic refugees & others fleeing the conflict/war in Myanmar are entitled to cross over to Thailand to stay, as well as eligibility to relocate to new places such as the USA, Australia. - The fact that the world's longest Civil War which is in Myanmar, mainly between Buddhist Burmese and Christian Karen (while Buddhist Karen are largely at peace) was made it possible, prolonged and supported by Anglo Clans of USA, UK & Australia, etc while they are using next-door neighbor Thailand (which has a defense treaty with them) as a base camp since in the 1950. In the '60s and '70s, using Thailand as a base camp, attacks against nearby Laos & Cambodia were launched during the Indochina war where several millions innocent civilians were killed. - Colonialism & Colonization are evil things done and benefited by evildoers. Here in Singapore, a tiny island with 6 million souls lives like sardines in a can, where else in nearby vast bountiful Australia which is ten thousand times 10,000 bigger with a mere 27 million inhabitants. Similar situation in tiny and packed Japan, which is running out of space and land. Do you know that their living room and bedroom are the same place, and that most Japanese people sleep in their living room. - Here's the one solution. Why don't Burma's Muslim, Hindu & Christian population, if they wish, move to a place like Anglo Colonized vast bountiful Australia/New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific region? After all, these are Asia-Pacific lands looted from Native Asians-Pacific people. 😔

Which part of Burma did the US have part of its "colonies"? Either way, good thing for you, none of those evil, colonial nations are going to get involved! You got your wish! Hope they enjoy the future Dictatorship they will face. Again, Thankfully the evil colonial nations are staying away, and allowing Russia and China to freely sell them weapons, and train their troops! Would be nice if my country would stop financing Ukraine with our money, and let Europe fight its own threats for once! But we are war mongers, until someone gets themselves into a war🤔 how odd?

Thank you for sharing the situation in Myanmar. We barely get attention from the outside world. Since 1960 pro-democracy activists try to negotiate with the Myanmar military about peacefully returning to civilian rule. Ukraine has developed deep links to the Myanmar military, with arms exports and technology transfers continuing, even after the Myanmar military has committed mass murder amounting to atrocity crimes following its illegitimate coup attempt. According to Ukrainian export data, accessed via Import Genius, Motor Sich exported engines and parts to Myanmar twice since the military’s attempted coup. A May 2021 shipment to the Myanmar army's directorate of procurement contained turbojet engine equipment, and a February shipment to the private air force supplier Sky Aviator contained mechanical parts. Motor Sich is a major Ukrainian manufacturer of engines for aircraft and missiles. The Ukrainian state is nationalising the firm from its majority Chinese owners. A Ministry of Defence document leaked to Justice For Myanmar, details the purchase of Mil Mi-17 parts from Motor Sich in 2015-16 via Myanmar Avia Export (likely predecessor of Myanmar Avia Services), a crony company owned by Tay Za. Ukrainian export records also show a series of shipments to the Myanmar Air Force from 2019 onwards. In May 2021, state-owned arms manufacturer Ukroboronservice shipped over 164 kilos of aircraft parts to Yatanarpon Aviation. This followed shipments in December 2020 of navigational devices and control instruments to Yatanarpon Aviation. The Managing Director of Yatanarpon Aviation denies any relations with the Myanmar military. In June 2021 Ukraine voted in favour of a UN General Assembly resolution to stop the flow of arms to Myanmar. The country’s transfers are only the most recent examples of significant arms links that amount to aiding and abetting the atrocity crimes of the Myanmar military. Ukraine also help Myanmar Military produce 500 Light tank with 105 mm gun. One tank unveiled in 2017. Producing with Ukraine's technical assistance and called MMT-40.These light tanks is design for combat operations in Jungles of Myanmar to hunt PDF/Myanmar Freedom Fighters.

We all were brainwashed to see the rebels as terrorists... In the case of Rohingya The Government media portrayed as terrorists like ISIS. But we all know the military is the one terrorizing its own people for the past 60+ years... The military use "Divide and Rule " strategy... For the past 60 years, using division bribes and deception, the military had succeeded breaking up many powerful rebels groups into two three groups... Narcotics and illegal casinos are the baits.. instead of coming together to fight against the army the rebels groups descended into territorial wars... But after the 2021 coup... the Burmese majority came into realization of being fooled and joined many great ethic rebel groups.. and asked them to train us... We all feel deep sorrow for our own ignorances.

China will definitely complain as Myanmar is a key ally to building Chinese ports there to circumnavigate around the South China Sea issue. It’s the reason why they are quietly supporting the military government as the Tatmadaw themselves are under western sanctions (beggars can’t be choosers). The west only responds to paces they have a vested interest in. Anywhere with a preexisting economic or resource based relationship will always get special treatment. It is also fully dependent on the relationships of all nations involved. If it was only Moscow assisting the Burmese Junta and not Beijing as well, we may have actually seen some small amount of very quiet western assistance. As it is, though, nobody's going to go against both Russia and China in a place that "has nothing to do with them." Sad though it may be.

Well, though Aung San Su Kyi was a leader of the country during genocide, she never controlled either military or police as per Constitution. Soldiers who committed genocide were under the order of junta. It is in my belief that if she answered the opposite of what she said when questioned in 2017/2018, military coup would have followed and will happen sooner than 2021. Throughout her short-term leadership, she cant command a single soldier or police officer except her security detail , surprisingly, that security detail was also hand picked by junta. That is my take

Fantastic documentary! However, an economic perspective is lacking. Junta has a monopoly on every business in Myanmar. Their motives for coup is primarily financial. Their motive for releasing Daw Suu in 2000 was also financial (sanctions). Everything Junta does is based on financial. Junta is primarily a large criminal organisation masquerading as representing a military, government, nationalist movement, business, religion etc

Really, why? The US and the the UK, amongst others, have both supported brutal dictatorships. Suharto, Pinochet, Batista, Pahlavi, Marcos. The list goes on and on. It's what powerful countries do. The reason the West is supporting Ukraine isn't because we give a shit about that country or support the people. It's because it gives us a chance to weaken and give a black eye to those pesky Ruskies. If we cared about civilian deaths and brutal wars we'd stop selling arms to the Saudis and try ending the 9 years and counting war in Yemen. But nah, there's nothing in that for us.

What this video didn't tell you is that the deal to buy FTC-2000g was inked in 2020 when Aung San Suu Gyi was in power. So, if you want to blame someone, you should blame her. Just do a simple google search on "FTC-2000g deal China Myanmar" and you'll find articles saying that Guizhou Aviation Industries Cooperation in 2000 announced that an unnamed country was buying its FTC-2000g. Since Myanmar is the only country known to purchase this aircraft, the unnamed country can only be Myanmar.

Myanmar’s relationship with China is a lot more complicated. At the end of the Chinese civil war, some KMT soldiers left to the borderlands with Myanmar. Instead of following to Taiwan. The Burmese Jade market is entirely Chinese. The Golden Triangle is part of the Chinese Triads network. Ethnic Chinese Myanmar rebel regions run on RMBs & PRC cellphone networks. Tatmadaw even shelled Yunnan before, chasing rebels across the borders. On the regional level, neither India nor Thailand wants to see Myanmar become a Chinese vassal. Maybe they can help smuggle some Stinger missiles, to even the odds.

Second thing you have to understand about authoritarian governments. If a protest is allowed to happen, that is when you should pay attention. Not if the protest is gunned down and the tin pot dictator turns protesters in to paint. If the protest is allowed to happen, that means a coup is about to happen and seeing who the actors are would be of the greatest interest.
