This is the first Fire-Toolz album I heard and I was delighted to see that not only did these tracks have a video but it was in fact this. This aesthetic blend of kind of like Fruitiger Aero, L.J. Altvater type peychedelic vision (this video and also your album covers) and PS1 graphics is sublime, as well as the vocal delivery and the proficient composition. Super looking forward to check out more of your catalog plus also I think it's really cool on a personal level that you personally respond to the comments here as much as you do! Pleasure to have made this discovery 😊

thank you thank you! to be honest, if the comments ever become like constant & potentially overbearing, i won't be responding to all of them. but for right now my fanbase is small enough to where it's not that difficult for me to pop in & talk to some peeps

if it's any consolation, the first song is wishing someone who broke up with me after six years well in her journeys (she has grown an incredible amount, it's amazing) & the second song is about wanting to be loved & fearing abandonment. how's that feel? still disturbed? cuz i know i am lol

Discovered this album through Fantano, who described the music as sounding like multiple genres playing at once and it being overwhelming at times, which made me think 'sounds perfect.' I did not expect it to be like different erratic parts of my brain chatter coming together to make something that sounds so soothing to me. There are times when the music sounds like if Cardiacs made the soundtrack to Spyro, which is a perfect combo as a big fan of both. Really excited to have found your music.

thank you! i like what you said! i love cardiacs. i love the band oceansize, and they praise cardiacs, amplifier and porcupine tree. of course i already listened to porcupine tree but hadn't heard of the other ones until they showed me them.

The fact that you love Cardiacs makes me so happy, as they're my favourite band. I can definitely hear the influence of Cardiacs via Oceansize through your music. I've been sharing your music around fellow Cardiacs fans and they're loving it as well. I'm slowly buying and working my way through all your music and adore it. Please come and play live in the UK!

The camera movement through the building and lyrics at 0:47 brings back so many memories playing racing games on the PS1 (Toy story racing, looney tunes, etc). And the sun/earth/moon faces remind me so much of the Japanese Yellow Brick Road games from the 90s

The price of individual autonomy is a toll too great for the trade offs. I can no longer quiet or drown out the screaming void. Only be transposed into it's tempest. Yet I too, transport neuro-sewage from the inlets/outlets of the info-dysphoria network. Will the unblinking gaze of my radial oppressor flinch at my demise? Has its endless symmetry excommunicated me? What is the point of melting away the wax and feathers. Dying for ascension, stupid pointless. I'll be incinerated with the artifice of human accomplishment in any case. So what was the point of it all.

A friend sent this to me describing it as "technical vaporawave screamo" and "what the actual fuck??". Upon viewing, I can appreciate the anti-capitalist absurdist vibes. I can't say that I enjoy it, but I am glad that it exists. Art has been achieved: my comfort has been disturbed.
@Fire-Toolz Жыл бұрын
thank you so much! where are you getting anti-capitalism from? not saying i'm not anti-capitalist or pro-capitalism reform at the least, but wondering where you've detected that. i wouldn't call it vaporwave or screamo, but there are definitely new age and jazz elements which show up in vaporwave...and although i am a HUGEEE classical screamo fan, more of what i'm channeling with these vocals in this song is hardcore and black metal. i don't mind you or your friend's assessment but it's fun to get technical with genre stuff. thanks again for giving it a chance and for appreciating its existence even if you don't vibe with the sounds
