Fire torches unfinished apartment complex in Prescott Valley

The complex was supposed to house 700 apartments when completed but now it's a $60 million loss.

We live 2 blocks from this fire. We woke up with black chunks of wood on EVERYTHING!!! as of now it's still burning!!!

It happened in the middle of the night so no workers were around. The talking glass apartments were evacuated. It was the unfinished apartments that share the same parking lot as that huge new cement parking garage they built across the street from frys. I Don't remember the name of the unfinished apartments, sorry. And thank you.

I live in Granville 3 miles away, Burnt wood pieces and paint chips all over the front and back yard and all over my roof like a bomb went off debris everywhere - lucky others house didn't catch fire from this - the rain helped a lot.

Embers were found on Hwy 89, 4 miles away. If it wasn't raining, I don't even want to imagine how many homes would have gone up in flames as a result of them. Half the town could have burnt down.

Arson. Someone should not be collecting ins $$ here. That is likely very certain that fires don’t do this unless it was intentional. Or did the whole place go up at once from end to end and burn out completely before fire arrived? Would love to see the timeline and video of the whole fire. Please get us some real news and let’s start “speculating”!

Casa D'oro in Jacksonville Florida had the same exact thing happen less than 2 months ago. They're mostly wood; they burn up easy. It doesn't take a brilliant person to know that this is a fire hazard. Keep on smoking. 🙄

Looked better than the sprawling homes in coyote springs. It takes a special kind of idiot to wish for a building to burn but especially a city building that would devastate the entire quad cities region. Grow up.
