Do you know if the backlit feature can be turned off? I keep the remote on my bed or fall asleep with it on my hand, so the backlit buttons stay on all night and I’m burning through batteries as a result.

It should turn off automatically after a few seconds on inactivity. Only turns back on when you move / pick up the remote

THANK YOU ! I was JUST about to pull the trigger and order it because i wanted to have my sideloaded 2 apps ( MovieHD & SmartTube) as favorite buttons. but now i CANT. thank you HARD PASS on this crap
