This is a great video. I was facing the same issue as you. I also watch TV at night. Unfortunately no volume control app worked for me. So thank you for this video. I'll try some of your suggestions. Also, I have two TVs. One has fire stick and the other has airtel Android box. I can control bluetooth volume if I watch stuff on the android box.

@@Hindsight101 Strangely enough, volume works on my little 19$ ASON bluetooth receiver with FireTV. And with another device, a Sony bluetooth speaker. Works within some standards, I guess.

@@Hindsight101 The speaker is a Sony i.ear 'something'. I'm blind so I can't see the exact model. The little bluetooth receiver is made by ASON. The very strange thing here is that little ASON receiver is not the same in each box. The first one I've got, the volume never worked and the bluetooth name was different. The second one, the bluetooth name is now ASON and volume works. Maybe an upgrade. I'm not sure if the Sony speaker uses its own volume control when bluetooth volume is not supported. Same possibility with the other ASON receiver.

I've got a solution that worked, I have a little cheap Bluetooth blackweb speaker with volume control on it and a headphone jack I plugged the Bluetooth receiver into it and can control the volume through the Bluetooth speaker. If you have one laying around just get an auxiliary cable and plug it into your Bluetooth device

I thought something was broken when I tried turning down the volume and my headphones didn't change at all... figured I would have to go into the settings and manually turn it down... come to find out there isn't even a manual way to adjust volume. I guess my volume control is pulling out my ear buds a bit more 😑 come on amazon

Fyi I forgot to mention in the video if you tap the buttons then it will skip forward or backward in a movie or music. If you want to control the volume you need to hold down the buttons

I am using a speaker doesn’t help me, I watch when I exercise have the speaker but when I use volume control it fast forwards or reverses what I am streaming

Amazon made an update that now allows you to control the volume with Bluetooth. I would try it. If it doesn't work, make sure your fire TV is updated

Basically he just sells amazon stuff. He tells you how to increase the volume with an apk, but to decrease it, which is why everyone is here, he can only offer something for sale at amazon. Not, buy a pair of buds with a volume control but buy these buds from Amazon. Sorry but this sounds like an ad for Amazon.
