It because the 270 SPO is non waterproof but a STI Stopper is waterproof so if you put the STI Stopper over the Pull station/nonwater proof pull station it will be waterproof

Nice install. Looks good. You could put an alarm on the backside of the mt to make it louder in your backyard but the current setup works great for what it is.
