Wheelock although dirt cheap in quality still makes some very good products. I know from experience they’re ungodly loud every single appliance which works more than great for the purpose of notification.

@@FireAlarmDude5967 I’ve spoke to quite a few techs who’ve been out in the field who say the build quality is cheap. I think even if that was true, wheelock is a very good brand. They even invented sync and led strobes.

Pretty sure Honeywell owns Notifier, Gamewell-FCI, Silent Knight, Fire Lite, and System Sensor, just in the commercial fire alarm industry in the United States. They really do have basically half the companies that exist.

At the part where you showed the strobes in the dark, that clearly explains why strobe synchronization requirements are in place. Codes require synchronized strobes for a very good reason and this clearly explains why synced strobes are a major must. One or two strobes out of sync in the field of view isn't too much of a problem but five, six, or seven strobes out of sync in the same field of view is super disorienting in a major way. I like alarms myself and I am in a fire alarm class at my college. That said, we are currently talking about strobe syncing and why it is important and I would like to ask if it is okay for me to use this video in my fire alarm class?
@FireAlarmDude59673 күн бұрын
Sure
@chadrowland52342 күн бұрын
@@FireAlarmDude5967Especially the part where you turned off the lights at 9:18 to 10:02. I like to joke around a lot but that part is no joke. No joke. I love to play jokes but unsynced strobes are no joke. No joke. Super disorienting. This video, particularly that part where you turned off the lights and let the strobes flash in the dark, is the exact reason why that I used a Wheelock DSM sync module on the strobes on my Honeywell vista 20p system. Thanks for the permission to use this video in my class. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a million words.

What did the address module look for the vintage Honeywell pull?
@FireAlarmDude596724 күн бұрын
I believe it was just a mini module just like the addressable BG-10 pulls had
@mimi224 күн бұрын
@@FireAlarmDude5967 ah makes sense Didn't know Honeywell still used these pulls for addressable systems, wonder what panels it was used on. And yes I can confirm BWI has these. They seem to have a Honeywell xls (notifier rebrand) system that still has some legacy devices
@FireAlarmDude596724 күн бұрын
@@mimi2 definitely an older addressed pull but yes BWI has some of these although in the newer parts most alarms were replaced with advances and Honeywell BG-12s

You have a strange fetish. There are plenty of pyromaniacs igniting stuff on KZbin but you are probably the only antipyromaniac around. It's a nice obsession that even benefits your neighbors.
