That round actually sealed the bore very well. I have seen a lot of, and done super slow-mo's of bullets exiting the barrel and most, if not all have a lot of gases preceeding the bullets exit.

I always assumed the paper patch would shed off past the muzzle. This video confirms it. Thanks.

yes, it's mandatory for accuracy that the patching leave the slick at the muzzle and not go downrange with it. there are some considerations when it comes to patching, for sure. i've added text for this video and a link to a PPB primer that may be of further interest.

Beautiful! Mind sharing a little more information about the rifle, caliber and load? What sort of paper do you use? Do you wrap with or against the twist of the rifling?
