And it is not just the gall either. The last guy remaining was basically wearing a combat strapping vest. Honestly the armor they wear is not even designed to protect you but to give you mobility with jump jets and power systems to power all the energy weapon stuff.

The leg isnt enhanced, the entire body is enhanced due to the core. Also those bugs are actually really easy 2 kill. I normally just run up 2 then and punch them and I'm a recon unit

Take World of Warcraft, make it an actual GAME instead of an overglorified math calculation, turn it into an FPS, make everyone look like a cross between Vanquish and Gears of War, give everyone jetboots, throw in a MOBA-style ability system, and replace quests with an adaptive mission system. That's just what Firefall is. I don't mean that in a good way or a bad way(I personally like it)

The zone events are there, the open PVP, a lot of ways to customize your battleframe, open world objectives, achivements, crafting, there is a lot of cool ways to move around, and lately they started adding races to the game, so maybe more minigames in the future. Firefall is the best game i have played either mmo or fps in a long long time. This is gonna blow everything else outta the water nothing will come cls to firefall. The lore explanation for the revealing power armor was that after the Earth was ravaged by the alien entities the resistance fighters salvaged some gladiator armor and also recruited some of the gladiators who had survived... These entertainers worked for a show where opposing teams fought against each other and wore these revealing power armors because displaying bare skin boosts the viewer ratings ofc... Later in the game the armor was modified to be less revealing after a lengthy campaign by some early SJW's had been waged on the forums. But the game itself was ruined when the studio was sold to the Chinese as they butchered many things that made the game innovative and fresh for its time. The devs also could not adapt it to the generational changes to the CPU's that were happening back then and so it ran too fast with newer, higher frequency CPU's and basically became unplayable on modern PC's.

@@disgustedkirbo7335 They had advanced classes you could unlock by going through their basic classes skill tree. Though they instead made it so you could buy your way to the advanced ones later on, and removed the skill tree completely if I remember correctly. Also the thumping was nerfed to the point where you'd be able to solo any of them. They used to have S3 thumpers (Tier 3 squad) but replaced them with easy once. Those old thumpers were a blast since you'd be overrun by dozens upon dozens of monsters (if you didn't place it in a cheeky spot), not with the new ones. There are plenty more things, but these bothered me the most.

This game is ruined now. I re-installed it after 1+ year break and the new developers has changed everything for the worse, there's hardly anyone playing and all the skills are re-done next to uselessness. I played my turret-engineer and the turrets instantly died while doing absolutely no damage. I then changed to my Nighthawk and Raptor setups, they did no damage. Why is it that devs always has to take a winning concept and turn it to a wreck !?!?.

It was actually starting to get somewhat decent, the constant sync issues were getting acceptable, then they decided to rework huge parts of the game and they broke the netcode again, so not only the game is in a scattered state but the sync is as bad as ever.

Am I the only one who thinks this cutscene is film worthy? I had seen in game footage before of sunny tropical islands and was surprised by how dark and realistic the trailer is. In particular the portrayal of the characters impressed me when at the end the girl is clearly afraid and tries to gather herself before rushing to her inevitable demise.

I guess it would be a loss to point out that all assumptions are wrong. The thing dropped is called a Thumper, which drills for resources. It attracts enemies in the game and you have to defend it until it's full. Aside from using guns, this is nothing like Gears of War.

The look of the armor appears to be similar to GoW and the girl in this one reminds me of the one in GoW also. Actually if you read the lore the "Armor" that is worn is really repurposed gear from a sport (and construction). Keep in mind it's only been a VERY short time since whats called The Melding took place. They are just using whatever they can find.

Militarily, this trailer is one of the most confused messes, that I have seen. What is the team there for? Why is to so small ,only three people? The weapons, their design appears to be for Human sized targets. The bugs principal weapon is what? What is the purpose of the little barrel shaped robots. What reason does the girl soldier have to add liquid to them.Where are the recon Drones and who is operating them? How did that very large tentacled creature( my estimate of it's size to be at least 6 meters tall and several tons in weight), get so very close to combat team without the combat team seeing or detecting, it's approach? If the combat team that landed on this contested occupied planet knew, there was going to be a fight? Where was a heavy weapons support team? Why did the girl soldier, pause before she snatches up a weapon and charge off into the night, without so much as a call for any kind of help? What about her Ammo supply? and what is she going to do without any backup? Where was the Air support vehicle? Why did the Big East European guy have a weapon mounted on his back? Why wasn't it mounted to a robot or APS?The People that designed this game are assuming that too much happens in a conflict situation is left up a computer system. I assume_? Militarily, this video game, is one confused mess.

Well If you read on the engineer's story the reason why they have nothing onthe left side is because they needed to make the frame light enough to fly but have all the equipment. so they took out most of the armor and etc stuff so it could carry the equipment on the right side where it has its tool and probably nano thingymabob.

hope you are remembering that firefall just recently come to open beta which means yes there are lots of bug. gameplay and crafting still need some details and torturial needs a major upgrade. other than that it's a great game :)

According to standard military deployment, elite insurgency teams go in with a small group with, a wep expert, com expert, demo expert, recon expert, medic, and an engineer. One of them being the team leader. Her light armor, leaping agility boots, small rapid firing side arm, expertise with survey bots, agile hit and run fighting style, all clearly indicates a signature covert operative. Besides i wouldn't run into enemy territory if i'm the last man standing unless i can be a ghost among them.

People are complaining that the female character has light/half missing armour when its a plain video game fact that all heavy weapon users have super heavy armour but little mobility (they just move super slow) there is then the solder(regular unit/character) nothing super special, good armor, speed, short clips, then the heavy support with minimal ammo but very high aoe damage and then you have the spec ops/scouts/snipers with insane speed, better than the regular units DMG to 1 hit kills but super light armor and little ammo

Ever see Iron Man 2? It's called a "finishing move" for a reason. If you only have one shot, you make it count. Using it off the top would have killed a few small fry but using it when he did ensured that the blast would be as destructive as possible. You can play any PC game on a Mac quite easily: run Windows in Bootcamp (dual boot), or using a Windows environment virtualizer (like Parallels) concurrently with the Mac OS. The Mac is a magnificent bit of engineering with a superior OS, and has the flexibility to run both Windows (better than most generic PCs actually) and Unix-based Mac software... no dedicated PC machine can make the same claim. Plenty of PC users envy the Mac, but NO Mac users envy the PC. We tried both, and prefer the Mac.
