Firefighter Memorial Highway in Memory of Chief Troy Jackson

Through a joint resolution in the Colorado House and Senate, Legislators unanimously voted to officially name a portion of Interstate 25 in memory of Chief Troy Jackson. The 5-mile stretch of I-25 between Belleview Avenue, mile marker 199.4, extending to mile marker 194.8 just north of the C-470 interchange, will officially be renamed the “Firefighters Memorial Highway in Memory of Chief Troy Jackson.”

Next steps: Lori Jackson and the South Metro Professional Firefighters Foundation are now looking to gather donations to fund the creation and installation of the signs.
