Firefighters Rescue People Trapped in Kansas City Floods

Raging floods in Kansas City, Missouri stranded some residents who had to be rescued by the fire department, including one woman who was trapped in her car, partially submerged under water. She reportedly told local media she was paralyzed by fear because she can't swim. Another man had to be rescued after he and his wife got trapped inside their restaurant as the water rose from nearby Indian Creek. I live on that street all the lights were out and by the time i actually made the effort to go check what had happened the creek was mostly out of the street, some of the apartments closest to the creek have flooded and the park area flooded too. I've lived around that Creek my whole life and the creek would be directly behind my house that I used to live in

Yeah KCK used to get the worst of the flooding, especially Armourdale, but I was walking and driving around and basically all of east KCK around the river and it looked fine so I didn't think it was that bad until I was talking to people at work.
