It's clear that the character had suffered a spinal injury (Probably while rescuing an innocent child from a burning building) and worked at the fire station in a training and administrative role since he could no longer do field work, and here Jim is, harassing and mocking him for his sacrifice. Love how the water source for the fire station is like a mile away from it. Also, pretty sure the reason the controls for the robot are so weird is because it seems to be a German game and they're using QWERTZ keyboard layout in Germany. So the Y/X to rotate the robot arm would actually be next to each other on German keyboard and therefore make a bit more sense.

I'd like to imagine that situation taking place in real life, where you're showing a new employee around the station when he's walking up to people and calling them clones, descending stairs while sliding his body along the railing, going into every room that's not part of the tour, having to walk slowly so he won't lose you because he saw a rabbit in the driving lot. Maybe they hired him and let him have his own firetruck day one to put a spotlight on low firefighter salaries not attracting any talent, would also explain why no one acknowledges him - they only see him as a necessary evil.
