I got one with natural finish from amazon. One the front they forgot to put stain on a spot as big as a quarter. The bone nut was cut to deep and caused all the strings to buzz. Unfortunately I have to return it. Poor quality control. They should be selling these as seconds. I did like the contour cuts on the back. I was so excited to get it and it turned out so messed up. Tried for two days to make it playable but no.

I would love to have one of these Explorers! I bought the Revenge from Westcreek, and even though I'm usually just a Strat guy, I can't put it down! It's currently my #1. I'm 57. I'm on my 3rd FFLPS "bat" guitar. I want one of those explorer types but they're sold out already. They have cream coloured V's on the site but I'm in Canada and can only order from their eBay store. Hope I'll catch one of these soon.

As best as I can tell from other youtubers sawing into them and investigating them, they don't use printed tops for their wood grain effects on their current guitars. They don't even use a veneer. That's just actual flamed maple.

@@Dave6SS I have the green west creek explorer. I love it. I replaced the hardware with bronze metal. Guyker Pickups, locking tuners etc. I also put old 1985' Cadillac car emblems on it. Plays so smooth.. almost could say it floats like a boat! Lol

It seems most who demo a Firefly lately say the action is super low and you got to raise it a bit. I had to on my FFLGS it was very low action. Man I love mine. But I did put a switch in mine it was really loose. That thing looks amazing and sounds great. Firefly is putting in some quality pickup's.

Honey burst my Ass .it's frickin orange no honey.i should have got the spalted maple.other than amazon.sending me two of the same guitars one I approved the other they took upon themselves to order for me. And the back Bow .was insane I almost sent it back .but I finally got it spot on so it's basically a orange tiger striped. explorer.so I believe I'll keep this one .o and I didn't have one uneven fret . very nice man .I am going to trade my other one for the spalted one .Rock on you crazy mutha .and please save some string eas for the people crying about it I don't use it because I eat barb wire and shit ice cream

I love the looks of it but I have gotten three Firefly Guitars 2 LP style one with 3 pick ups in blueberry burst the other standard style LP in a almost orange burst, the 3rd an SG style in Blueberry burst all three duds! The 3 pick up LP wiring was a disaster very bad soldering grounds were not making contact because they failed to scrap the varnish on them when they soldered it. The 2 Pick up one was another grounding issue bad soldering but the pick ups IMO were wired wrong it was very noisy and harmonic. The SG I have no clue what the issue was you plugged it in and all you could here was an annoying hum no sound. I managed to get it to play I rewired the whole guitar. Aside from electrical issues there were some finish blems but that really doesn't bother me. Action had to be adjusted as well as intonation, nothing I do not expect in these inexpensive guitars. Tuners on one were pretty bad they just could hold tune I swapped them out with a set of Epi ones I had in the parts box. That was my Firefly experience and has held me back on getting another. I really like the spalted maple top . These FFLX are more Futura shaped than Explorer. I have an Epiphone Futura Prophecy that looks more like the shape of FFLX. I might get one if not the WestCreek that looks exactly the same.

A lot of kids will waste their money on guitars like this due to these kind of videos. These are cheap guitars that require knowledge of setup, and replacing parts. Young kids watch these videos and buy thinking it’s a great guitar, cmon

They're not going to waste their money like we did back in the day thats for sure.. Back in the early 90s, when I bought a guitar new for around $200 to 250 bucks, you either returned it or you had to just throw it away . And that was even name brand low end guitars.. No matter how much time you spent tuning it or taking it and getting it set up properly, it just would not play right. If you did get lucky and it did go in tune by the time you played one chord it was out. The budget guitars of today are ten times better... And a hell of a lot better value then back then by a mile. I have done some livestream unboxings before with $150 to $200 hundred dollar guitars literally right out of box..tune up and played for a few hours and stayed in tune and play like butter. In the mid 90s I bought a Jackson ps4 Guitar $600 NEW had to have it professionally set up, fret work was horrible also had grounding issues among other things. Out of the 50+ Budget guitars I have done in this channel there has been maybe a half a dozen where the frets has slight fret sprout or I had to adjust the neck slightly, also adjust the action due to string buzz..but I tell everyone in my videos about the issues if there are any..thankfully those were all have been very minor. FIY I'm not mad at your comment I hope you understand where I'm I'm coming from. I appreciate your comment..No hard feelings on this side of the fence..hope the feeling is mutual..ROCK ON BRO 😎🤘🍻
