Firemen Interrupt Wedding Vows!

The wedding was perfect and the couple was about to say their vows when the fire alarm went off. The bride, groom, and priest remained calm...and even applauded the firemen when they walked up the isle! The alarm continued for almost 15 minutes.

So, it would appear from the video clip that this was a false alarm or a nuisance alarm. It is a good idea to calmly and safely evacuate any structure when its fire alarm is activated and wait outside in a safe location until the fire department VERIFIES that there is no danger. Fires hidden in void spaces can build up a lot of smoke and heat before suddenly erupting into an occupied part of a structure, and it can take a long time to get everyone out. Take advantage of the early warning and leave the building. If it turns out to have been a false alarm, you'll be running a few minutes behind schedule, but you can avoid incurring casualties.

When I was a fireman I ran a medical emergency at an outdoor wedding. Luckily an off duty fireman attending met us and we rolled in as quiet as we could.

I can't believe the amount of people who IGNORE a fire alarm. even when I worked in a corporate office, people always go "it's just a drill". except, you know, those few times where a server caught fire or an exhaust fan filled the building with smoke. even then, people didn't leave! it's ridiculous. and I'm a firefighter! i've seen so much first hand!

It's very possible that the alarm was investigated and it was decided that the building would remain occupied. Maybe someone saw a little kid pull a pull station, so they knew right away it was false.
