If you are trying to do the opposite of what scar would do when building, you should just leave the castle slightly unfinished, because scar always finishes his builds with exceptional detail and thought. You could leave a block out of place or perhaps in the wrong place or just add a block that doesn't go at all with the build somewhere random.

The timing of BRR (also i love that that's brrrrr, like when you're cold!!) opening toward the "end" of DO2 is pretty phenomenal, plus the winter/end of year holidays!!!! All cozy by the fire in the pavilion. This is so awesome!!

I absolutely adored the timelapse. The music got a great laugh out of me. Or an evil cackle, at least. Are the "missed" blocks a feature btw? It'd be a pity if you just "ran out" of the right colour wool and had to substitude with, say, limegreen or something here and there.

Lots of fun to be had in this. The Scabland construction is fun, the music is a *perfect* troll (it's like a Rickroll, great music used with delightful humor), and that fireplace is gorgeous! I'm glad that you're still tinkering with the ice race track, and I'm looking forward to seeing a time when the Hermits descend on it en masse and really give it a good set of runs. I'm very fond of such racing, and you and Etho are doing great work on the track.

You should do a triathlon for all the hermits, using Bdubs horse race, False’s elytra course and the boat race too finish it off, it would be such a fun thing too do and everyone would be practicing and using all the fantastic courses you have built, so often the mini games you have all built over this season don’t get used more than a couple of times and it seems such a waste to leave them unused so I would love too see a mega hermit weekend of mini games, you could even invite some friends too join at different times so you only need 3/4 hermits on at time to lead the games, all the games you have built could get played over the course of a weekend. I know it takes a lot too organise Hermit weekends so understand if it’s not possible but I would love too see it 😉 ❤❤

BRR looks amazing. I do think you could add some things as the icing on the cake: you could add some billboards along the track as sponsors. You could do them yourself or ask the other hermits to build them as they can get free advertising for whatever they want. You could also just build some other eyecandy to distract the racers from the polar bears. I would also swap the torches in the tunnels with lanterns hanging from the ceiling. And maybe you can decorate the tunnel at the start like blue rock tunnel or let Etho make some murals. Other than that it looks EPIC

Ren this is incredible! You should build a separate boat house so you can highlight all the different types of boats (have them “hanging” from the roof both barrels below). You can lean into the cabin/rustic feel with the fireplace and all! Maybe something on the way into the starting line, so everyone will pick their boats JUST before they get on the course

Suggestion for the lodge: once you get the key bits in that you want, consider adding seating areas. Something that litters every ski lodge I’ve been in is tons of couches and sitting areas. Love the build and love the vibe! 😊

Cool idea for the pavilion interior you should put a small podium stand where you can put armor stands with playerheads of the top 3. Maybe use Gold, iron and copper to imitate the medals.

Ren, there is absolutely no way you're gonna have a stable world record using anything other than the MANGROVE BOAT. We are ofcourse all aware that RED is the very fastest color, and therefore the mangrove boat is definitely the meta at high level runs of B.R.R.

The lodge is awesome, very old-school MInecraft cozy, and it looks especially great at night. The raceway has really come together, I love it. I think the only thing that could make it better at this point would be to make it more viable to race at night as well (i.e. adding a series of lights all along the dark stretches), though that would be a lot of work...

Scabland vs Scarland in terms of safety is like. Scabland got investigated for Minecraft OSHA violations three years ago, and they can't afford to be sued again, so now they adhere Very Strictly to ensuring things are spawnproof, and then Scarland everyone just *assumes* is safe and they pay off anyone who tries to lodge a complaint, so they get away with insanely unsafe workplace practices

Minecraft feature idea: have different boats behave differently on ice, so you could actually have choosing a boat be important when racing on ice. Eg. One might get a bit faster on blue ice, an another turns better, and a chest boat is more massive

The pavilion reminds me of when I was a kid and went ice skating with my siblings at a lake near our house. They built a hut for us kids to warm up and drink hot coco in and it was magical. Good times we’re had and wonderful memories. Anyway love yer face ren!

Alright let’s break this down. Boat types and their functions: Oak -Default stats, everything is in the middle. Bamboo - Is the lightest because of the extra air flow. Jungle -Has the best traction. Spruce - Has the best handling. Birch - Has the best off roading. Dark Oak - Is the sturdiest and heaviest. Acacia - Has the lowest buffer (it won’t deaccelerate as much). Mangrove - Is all about speed and going fast (cause it’s the most red, and red car is fastest car). Cherry - Has the highest special effects. Boost? If anyone has any more thoughts on this please share. I’d love to get fictional stats for all of these.
