Dude…. There are many bad individuals that get unnoticed online. Especially when said individual only has mere thousands in followers, along with the people they affected (some maybe even having mere hundreds) There are tons we don’t know about, but I don’t let that possibility affect me, and just contribute to dealing with these horrid people, even if some people don’t listen. Reposting my comment from the orignal video here: I was one of the many MANY unfortunate artists that drew for this guy back in the early Splatoon 2 days... I was constantly bugged for art and at one point even stopped drawing all together because I felt super stressed and pressured. as with every controversy, it was quickly swept under the rug. I once made a video years ago exposing all the shit he has done up to that point and regrettably deleted it for reasons I can't remember (Maybe it was to stop his fans from harrasing me I cant recall) 4-5 ish years later now that I'm doing art for MYSELF and for whoever actually respects me and what I do, It feels more than great to finally see justice for myself and everyone effected and for everyone else to know how shitty Roka is.

Hey. minor correction for 18:42: while the playable inklings are 14, not all of them are. In Splatoon 2, the idols are all adults; Callie and Marie are at least 19, Marina (who's technically an octoling, but shush) is 18, and Pearl is 21. Many of the other bands without full 3D models also have inkling and octoling members and, with the sole exception of Paul from Sashimori, all of them appear to be adults as well. Now, Fireroka specifies "inkling girl" which IS one of the names commonly used to refer to the female playable character so in this case your assessment is correct. However, the way you phrased it just said "inkling characters" not "the playable inkling characters", hence why I felt like addressing this on the off chance you didn't know. Otherwise, this was a very informative and thorough video; well done.

I would like to discuss the psychology of age gap dating! A few year difference is very very different in children compared to adults. You have a married couple (who met and dated as adults) with a 6-year gap; a completely healthy reationship between the two. However, it's different for children. Why is a 6-year gap different? Maturity and brain development! A 10-yr-old and 16-yr-old are at completely different developmental stages. A 10-yr-old is going to be undoubtably immature especially in comparison to a 16-yr-old; meaning that it would lead to the following issues: lack of understanding of one another; the elder taking on an unhealthy 'caretaker' role; the younger looking up to the elder as a role model and thus less likely to question 'is what [the elder] person doing okay?'; the younger scared to go against what the elder says; the younger presuming the elder 'knows best' because they're 'older and wiser.' All of which is completely abusable for the elder to use against the younger to get what they want from them. The elder goes into this relationship fully knowing this and with the intent to use this; with the intent to groom them. This is why age-gap relationships are so unhealthy and unsafe for children. It doesn't matter if the elder is still not an adult - the age gap at this age is issue enough to warrant labeling the relationship not okay. And this isn't even mentioning the abuse itself that happens in these relationships. I myself am almost 19 (very close in age to Roka) and I'm just... Sickened at all of it.

Fireroka dm’d me around the time the whole “beach” thing was happening and asked me for exactly that. I thought he would be paying me but last second after I finished it he said he couldn’t and wouldn’t. He then tried to get me to be in his direct livestream, which I couldn’t be in. Then right after a lot of stuff came out about him and he tried dm’ing me multiple times telling me not to believe anyone who tells me about the things he did. I blocked him right after and only a couple months later started hearing that he’d done this thing to several other small artists. I feel so bad for all of the people he’s hurt and manipulated.

I just want to point something out, because I believe this argument you added can be extremely dangerous to others. - NOTE: This doesn't apply to Fireoka's case, what he was doing was very clearly a ploy to guilt trip Saying that "people usually hide their self harm out of shame or out of fear of someone finding out" brought nothing to your point of what Fireoka was doing other than showcasing a rather harmful way to look at something as serious as somebody potentially asking for help with self harm. Yes, a lot of people who self harm don't actively show their self harm or announce it to everybody, BUT SOME DO. Using this as a "Gotcha" for what Fireoka was doing does nothing but shame people who DO talk about it and DO post about it as a way of asking for help or showing to people that they aren't okay. Yes, Fireoka was clearly trying to be manipulative, but using that as your "evidence" is genuinely hella harmful and I PRAY nobody picked up that stupid "people who self harm never talk about it" point from this video and either 1. believed it or worse off 2. used it against someone who was being genuine and seeking for comfort. Not everybody hides their self harm, not everybody stays quiet about their self harm, people do this both because they want to seek comfort from their friends and loved ones at their time of need and also because they WANT help, they WANT someone to help them stop indulging in this harmful act because they know they can't do it alone. You were 16 when you made the video [ no clue if ur still 16 ], your audience most definitely consists of a bunch of kids who are of your age or way younger, your words and what you say fucking matter, so for the love of God, do not spew harmful arguments about serious topics you clearly do not know enough about, because the last thing we want is more people hiding their pain cuz a youtuber said it can be "manipulative". Even if you didn't intend to make it sound that way [ which I don't believe you did ], kids are stupid, they will interpret things you say compared to the points ur making. I can't really remember but he used to bother me all the time, like I would get dms from him everyday asking about art. I'd also like to mention that during this time I was dealing with really terrible depression and I didn't want to continue drawing for him but I kept doing so anyways cuz I thought if I continued and finished all the sprites he wanted, he'd stop bothering me but he literally. Never stopped. The day after I finished his sprites I found out he was a terrible person and felt so shitty about myself for weeks because I literally found out what he did THE DAY AFTER I FINISHED ALL THE ART DUDE. Thanks for posting this, before i saw this i thought fireoka was another mid casual splatoon youtuber, who i stumbled upon on youtube. Clearly that isnt the case. Also i want to say splatoon has had other more known awful people who have been denounced by the community like heavy the splat and to a lesser extent putz12 but they are the minority. For my experience with fireroka, he was strange To me, my experience wasnt to bad, but he asked for Art one peice right after another which was irritating. But another thing is when he asked me to draw his girlfriend in a tropical outfit with a coconut bra. I said I wasn’t reallt comfortable with drawing it and I didn’t know how, and he sent a borderline nsfw example and said “like this.” He knew what he was doing it because he added a spoiler on the image aswell. And I founded it really weird, I didn’t know about what he done till not to long ago on twitter, and he used some of my art for his thumbnail at one point 😅 it was very strange, and I’m pretty sure I mentioned me being 14 on my page at the time, it was weird

Oh boy this will be longgg but one of my mutuals bought me here and it brings me so much closure. As one of the artist that have been exploited, I was stuck with him as he used my art for most of his thumbnails at his peak of his channel (to the point I was the main thumbnail artist and my art was used as the merch and I didn't any fair used for that cus he didn't even tell me). It annoys me whatever I see my art on his channel as I recall all the spamming and uncomfortable requests his made including the nsfw but surprising kept my distance from him like vcs and watched from the sides collecting my dms. I broke ties with him when some people made a long exposing video of his actions which slowly lead to his downfall.
