Not all over California. California is not just LA. Currently CalFire is reporting about 3k acres burned, which is tiny compared to last years Park fire up north which burned over 429,000 acres. The Santa Ana winds are a weather effect that has been a thing forever, and fires that start in high wind events are tough to deal with in areas with very flammable vegetation. These comments reflect how much people do not understand about geography, or weather, or fire. AND last time trump threatened to withhold Federal funding from California for the fires that happened on Federal land... expect more of the same.

Not even the closest to the worst year in human history (536 AD). Im sure people of that year felt it was the end times too, and so did the other generations, but in the end it meant nothing. That isnt to say we should sit and twiddle our thumbs either and let things get marginally worse by inaction.
