Something to add to that first question: People are seeing through these Bush era Republicans and see Trump and his colleagues as a potential and very welcome change to a proper Republican party. McConnell and his ilk are the reason the left got to go as far as they did.

It's sad what the party has turned into with Trump. Thank you, McConnell and all the other conservatives that are now labeled rinos by the maga crowd for trying to hold back the populism, and isolationism, and keep this the party of Reagan/Bush. It seems we have failed but we can still work within this current party structure and one day we can get our party back to proper conservatism, it will just take some time.
